Description Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Security Instrument Technician to work on our Physical Security Systems team. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our INTEC facility with every Friday off.&nbsp; You will perform complex installations and preventative and corrective maintenance on electronic security systems at our INTEC facility. You will report to the Sr. Manager of the Physical Security Systems department. &nbsp; Responsibilities:&nbsp; <ul><li>Perform maintenance (corrective, preventative, predictive, routine, and troubleshooting) on instrumentation systems and components including closed circuit television video equipment, balanced magnetic switches, infrared intrusion detection, card reader access control systems, radar systems, and fiber optic systems in accordance with Department of Energy (DOE) orders, Security Systems procedures, federal specifications, NRC regulations, and best business practices..</li><li>Participate in the work control process planning walk down process by providing recommendations to the planner on hazard identification, hazard mitigation, technical information, task sequencing, resource requirements, equipment requirements, and other information to produce a work document that can be used in the field to accomplish the identified work scope.&nbsp;</li><li>Review work orders/packages per INL work control procedures and provide meaningful and useful feedback. &nbsp;</li><li>Actively participate in INL briefings and post job reviews. Perform walk downs as directed by management.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide on-the-job training to other craftsmen as requested by maintenance management.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide feedback to management on any training needs or improvements that are needed to drive better performance and identifying any opportunities for improvement.&nbsp;</li><li>Provide feedback to the Planning Manager and/or Planning Technical Lead on any recommended improvements to the work order documentation process.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain assigned qualifications in accordance with the INL and applicable program qualification process.&nbsp;</li><li>Plan, implement, and execute special projects within area of expertise assigned by management.&nbsp; </li></ul>Qualifications Minimum Requirements: <ul><li>High School diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant experience, a relevant Vocational Certificate in technical discipline (electronic and pneumatic instrumentation theory, application, troubleshooting and repair technique) and 2 years of relevant experience, or a relevant Associate's degree.</li><li>Depending on work assignment, within 3 months of hire, complete Radiological Worker Qualification requirements and maintain qualifications for duration of employment.&nbsp;</li><li>Depending on work assignment, pass the Physical Security Systems Technician training qualifications and maintain qualifications for duration of employment.&nbsp;</li><li>This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.&nbsp;</li></ul> Preferred Experience:&nbsp; <ul><li>Associate degree in technical discipline (electronic and pneumatic instrumentation theory, application, troubleshooting and repair technique), equivalent technical certification, or relevant military experience/certifications.&nbsp;</li></ul> Job Information:&nbsp; <ul><li>The pay for this position is $45.42/hr. Security Instrument Technician

Description Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Construction Quality Inspection Technician to work in our Construction Quality department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) Desert Site facility with every Friday off. Perform quality control inspections in support of the mission of the facility assigned in disciplines certified. Ensure compliance with approved inspection plans and procedures for the item being evaluated. Provide accurate documentation of results. Maintain required certifications/qualifications to perform duties. Responsibilities Include: <ul><li>Become qualified and maintain INL Basic Inspector per MCP-13426.</li><li>Provide consultation and technical assistance to quality engineering staff on the correct application of inspection discipline and technique.</li><li>Provide technical support to quality engineering on various experiments, set up and operate a variety of inspection equipment.</li><li>Provide independent quality assurance inspection and surveillance functions in compliance with policies, procedures, customer requirements, and/or work control plans at INL and subcontractor facilities. Inspections may consist of visual, mechanical, dimensional, and/or other related reviews of products, materials, or drawings.</li><li>Ensure items are within calibration and suitability for use of the measurement equipment being used.</li><li>Perform work to instructions provided in inspection planning packages and as directed by management.</li><li>Provide support in various administrative functions such as non-conformance reporting, tracking, trending, assessment, and records management.</li><li>Review materials and equipment received or fabricated against purchase/design specifications to ensure acceptability.</li><li>Communicate clearly any issues found to the quality engineering team.</li><li>Provide consultation and technical assistance to quality engineering staff on the correct application of inspection discipline and technique.</li><li>Assure that work is compliant to requirements by verifying and validating work performed by others.</li><li>Mentor other technicians as needed.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications Minimum Requirements: <ul><li>Level 4: High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years directly related quality experience.</li><li>Level 5:&nbsp;High school diploma or equivalent and &gt; 6 years directly related quality experience.</li><li>Knowledge and skills in one or more of the following building code disciplines: Civil Inspection including earthwork, concrete, and asphalt; AWS Structural; and ASME Mechanical.</li><li>Knowledge and skills in Nondestructive Examination (NDE) techniques such as Visual Inspection, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, etc.</li><li>Objective evidence of previous NDE qualification/certification including NDE certification, Training Diplomas, Experience Logs and Education (HS, University etc.) meeting SNT-TC-1A is required.
