POSITION: TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR SCHEDULE: Tuesday - Saturday 4:00pm - until LOCATION: McLane Foodservice - 2641 Meadowbrook Rd., Rocky Mount, NC 27801 Take your career further with McLane! The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for the daily administrative functions in the Transportation department. They ensure that drivers are aware of any changes that may or will occur and provide route change information to customers as needed. Special projects may be assigned at the position supervisor's discretion. </li></ul> Qualifications you'll bring as a Transportation Coordinator Teammate: <ul><li>Have a high school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>At least 2 years of work experience in a similar function is preferred. </li><li>Have good computer skills, including Microsoft products. </li><li>This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. Benefits you can count on: <ul><li>Pay Rate: Drivers make $75,000 to $85,000.</li><li>Pay Structure: Hourly, Miles, Stops, and Cases.</li><li>Day 1 Benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA and company-paid life insurance. </li><li>Paid holidays: earn vacation time, and sick leave accrual from day one. </li><li>401(k) Profit Sharing Plan after 90 days. </li><li>Additional benefits: pet insurance, maternity/paternity leave, employee assistance programs, discount programs, tuition reimbursement program, and more! </li></ul> What you'll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver: <ul><li>Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition. </li><li>Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery. </li><li>Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises. </li><li>Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions. </li><li>Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> Qualifications you'll bring as a CDL-A Delivery Driver: <ul><li>At least 21 years of age </li><li>Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A) </li><li>At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience </li><li>Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications </li><li>This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
