Job Summary
This is a part-time position at Southwest Tennessee Community College for a scheduled or on-call CDL “A” driver to drive the two College mobile learning labs. Events will be attended by student audiences (minors). The college has two vehicles and two hitch trailers (24-ft and 28-ft) associated with the mobile learning lab: • One F-350 truck with Super Duty Crew cab 60” cab towing 28-ft hitch trailer • One F-250 XL reg cab, 8ft bed towing 24-ft hitch trailer College will provide an advance driver schedule to the greatest extent possible --- normally providing at least one-week advance notice. Mobile Learning Lab transportation area is within the Greater Memphis metro region with no overnight travel. Specifically, between Southwest Tennessee Community College’s Macon Cove campus (5983 Macon Cove, Memphis, Tenn. 38134) and the designated Mobile Lab event site (student recruiting events). 
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Driver is expected to remain with truck during the duration of Mobile Lab events.</li>
<li>Arrive on Macon Cove campus one hour prior to departure to conduct safety inspection of trucks and trailers.</li>
<li>Connect truck and trailer, if necessary, and verify safety</li>
<li>Drive to Mobility Lab event locations.</li>
<li>Disconnect trucks and trailers, and move truck to safe location.</li>
<li>At the conclusion of Mobility Lab events, the driver will safely reconnect trucks and trailers; Connect truck and trailer and verify safety.</li>
<li>% - Return trucks and trailers to Macon Cove campus.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>A valid commercial drivers license.</li>
<li>Must be at least 21 years of age.</li>
<li>Ability to sufficiently speak the English language.</li>
<li>A minimum of 3 years recent experience driving the type of equipment that the driver will be assigned to operate.</li>
<li>No Department of Transportation defined accidents in the past three years in which the driver was convicted for a moving violation in connection with the crash</li>
<li>No moving violations in the past 3 years in any type of motor vehicle.</li>
</ul>

The student worker/intern will work under close supervision of the shift supervisors of the Police Services/Public Safety Department. They will patrol facilities or safeguard a post as instructed, serve as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime; report suspicious activity and/or criminal acts which may be a threat to students, faculty/staff, and college property.
Job Duties

This is a part-time position to assist Emergency Medical Services instructors and students with lab/practicum and clinical needs in the Emergency Medical Services Program.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Prepares and delivers assistance with lab/practicum and clinical needs at all levels of EMS training.</li>
<li>Assists/tutors lab/practicum and clinical competencies&nbsp;</li>
<li>Organizes/cleans lab areas and prepares equipment for lab courses&nbsp;</li>
<li>Inventories lab equipment&nbsp;</li>
<li>Serves as a liaison between the Southwest EMT/Paramedic program and the Clinical Affiliate staff.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Provides orientation to the student for the clinical/field site&nbsp;</li>
<li>Directly precepts clinical/field rotations as needed/assigned&nbsp;</li>
<li>Assesses compliance at clinical /field sites.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Participates in clinical/field internship scheduling as needed/assigned&nbsp;</li>
<li>Assists with clinical /field internship preceptor training as needed/assigned&nbsp;</li>
<li>Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences and checking with instructors for professional guidance.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Participates in departmental and program meetings&nbsp;</li>
<li>May perform other duties as assigned by Program Director, Department Chair, or Dean.&nbsp;</li>

Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Have a current unencumbered Tennessee Paramedic License, Instructor Coordinator preferred</li>
<li>Hold current provider certifications in:
<ul>
<li>Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers</li>
<li>Advanced Cardiac Life Support</li>
<li>Pediatric Advanced Life Support</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Instructor level certification in the above is preferred</li>
<li>Maintains current license/certifications as required.</li>
<li>Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Pre-Hospital Care provider or equivalent knowledge and experience as approved by the program director to meet the specific needs of the program.</li>
<li>Satisfactory expertise in computer technology sufficient to perform the job duties as outlined. </li>
<li>Previous experience in the use, programming, and maintenance of high fidelity simulation equipment is preferred.</li>
<li>Previous experience in EMS related instruction/administration is preferred</li>
</ul>
