Job Description NOTE: This is a two-year term position<ul><li>Operates a fully accessible shuttle van as a supplement to the fixed route shuttle bus service.</li><li>Receives online ride requests via Harvard’s evening van mobile application and responds to requests throughout the Cambridge and&nbsp;Allston campuses.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Assists passengers with mobility impairments as needed.</li><li>Operates shuttle van to meet scheduled and on-demand passenger pick-up requests.</li><li>Communicates on two-way radio with dispatcher to receive instructions and confirm changes, additions, or deletions from route schedule.</li><li>Assists passengers with mobility impairments both entering and exiting.</li><li>Performs daily safety inspection of vehicle and equipment.&nbsp; Completes vehicle condition report that includes requests for maintenance and repair.</li><li>Performs daily cleaning of vehicle interior including: emptying the trash receptacles, sweeping the floor, and dusting the seating surfaces.&nbsp; Performs refueling of vehicle as needed.</li><li>Distributes and collects rider satisfaction surveys and comment cards.</li><li>Utilizes on – demand electronic technology to provide safe ride services at night.</li><li>Performs related duties as required which may include occasional parcel delivery.</li><li>Participates as a member of the Passenger Transport Services Planning Team.</li><li>Performs related duties as required</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Must be willing and able to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>The incumbent needs the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Required to sit for prolonged periods of time.</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Emergency Status Designation: Critical Operations Personnel</li></ul> Qualifications Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>Three to five years of related passenger transport experience preferred.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Must possess strong verbal communication skills, a clear speaking voice and solid customer service skills, including courtesy, flexibility, sensitivity, patience and humor.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a customer-focused team environment required.</li></ul>Driver Designation:<ul><li>Valid State driver’s license required with a&nbsp;minimum of six years driving experience required.</li><li>Driving history must meet University Operations Services standards. &nbsp;</li><li>CDL is preferred.&nbsp;</li></ul>Additional Qualifications and Skills:<ul><li>Will be required to wear a uniform provided by employer.</li></ul> Additional Information Appointment End Date: <ul><li>May 23, 2027.</li></ul>Work Schedule:&nbsp;Sunday: 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm
