Responsible for the reception and distribution of off-air, satellite, microwave and tape originated programming to the outside plant utilizing coaxial cable, microwave, and fiber optic transmission technologies.&nbsp; This includes the installation, construction, operation and repair of all equipment associated with the headend and signal distribution network.Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>&nbsp;Monitor Video and Audio quality of services</li><li>Daily check of RF levels and alignment</li><li>Verify video and audio levels for satellite and stereo processing equipment</li><li>Monitor commercial insertion equipment</li><li>Perform status monitoring</li><li>Identify and repair issues related to groomers, edge devices, satellite receivers and optical equipment.</li><li>Understand the optical networks in the headend such as BC/NC and Unicast platform</li><li>Test equipment such as OTDR's, OSA's</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Requirements/QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent, Cisco Certification (Preferred)Experience: 1-3 years telecom related experienceKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to accurately measure distances using measuring devicesDifferentiate between sizes and colors of wiresProficient in Google SuiteWe're Proud to Offer a Comprehensive Benefits Package Including:<ul><li>401k retirement plan, with employer match</li><li>Insurance options including: medical, dental, vision, life and STD insurance</li><li>Paid Time Off/Vacation: Starting at 80 hours per year, and increases based on tenure with the organization</li><li>Floating Holiday: 40 hours per year</li><li>Paid Holidays: 7 days per year</li><li>Paid Sick Leave: Astound allows a number of paid sick hours per calendar year and varies based on state and/or local laws</li><li>Tuition reimbursement program</li><li>Employee discount program</li></ul>*Benefits listed above are for regular full-time position&nbsp;Base Salary: The base salary range in Oregon for this position is $23.50/hr - $49.00/hr, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
