This position is assigned to the Old Saybrook Bridge Maintenance Facility, which is one of two Bridge Maintenance Facilities within the District serving approximately 42 towns for bridge maintenance operations. This position is specifically responsible for welding and/or carpentry skilled tasks and operates more complex equipment at the highly skilled maintainer level. The primary tasks of this position include performing bridge deck repairs, certified welding, substructure concrete repairs, expansion joint repairs, spot painting, and specifically structural steel repair work for natural disasters and traffic/bridge crashes.
