The WI Thought Leadership Activation Associate supports the activation of thought leadership (TL) assets by preparing, packaging, and distributing materials for go to market and field use. Southwest Tennessee Community College is in the process of developing and launching a new Artificial Intelligence Technology program. As a result, this position will play an important role in supporting early-stage curriculum development, program planning, and implementation, in addition to teaching responsibilities. This is a full-time academic-year (9-month) appointment faculty position reporting to the Department Chair of Technologies. The faculty member is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related academic activities in the assigned discipline. Teaching responsibilities include foundational and advanced Artificial Intelligence topics such as Python programming, data analysis, machine learning, artificial intelligence tools and frameworks, neural networks, and ethical considerations in AI. Primary responsibilities include instruction, instructional counseling, academic advising, curriculum development, student assessment, and participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities. The faculty member plays a key role in shaping and maintaining the Artificial Intelligence curriculum and integrating hands-on, applied learning experiences into the program. The faculty member is expected to perform assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus, as assigned. At a minimum, related faculty responsibilities include instruction, academic advising and mentoring, serving on departmental and college committees, and participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities and organizations. In addition to standard faculty responsibilities, this position includes assigned program coordination duties for the Artificial Intelligence Technology program as part of the faculty teaching load.

Title: HVAC Controls Engineer

This position is responsible for the documentation and software programming for all types of HVAC and process control systems and perform maintenance and service for our HVAC/ Mechanical site-based equipment. Also responsible for installing, programming, testing, calibrating, operating, and repair of control systems along with their related software, hardware, and equipment. These systems control and monitor air handlers, pumps, valves, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, boilers, chillers, and other heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and components. Job Duties:
Monitor daily mechanical operations of all campuses. Visit all campuses to configure, program, and customize control systems to meet project-specific needs. Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring the seamless operation of all systems. Calibrate and update data collection points. Repair and maintenance to a variety of equipment including refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, light commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, semi-hermetic compressors, split systems, flame safeguard controls, air compressors, air driers, chillers, and packaged units. Identify, size and create valve and actuator schedules. Download and adjust BAS programs. Perform functional checks of mechanical systems. Work within approved budget; Develop and implement cost saving measures; Conserve organizational resources. Observe safety and security procedures; Determine appropriate action beyond guidelines; Report potentially unsafe conditions. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree and 3 years of related experience OR a High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of related experience. Minimum of 3 years of BAS/ Controls experience. Minimum of 3 years HVAC Electrical Troubleshooting, or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience with Web Control/Auto Logic platforms. Universal EPA Certification. Valid Driver’s License.

Job Duties:
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Promote lawful behavior and protect the welfare of students, faculty, staff and visitors as a uniformed presence on campus. Perform foot and vehicle patrols to monitor behavior, secure buildings and property, maintain order during events and enforce policies, laws and ordinances. Seeks solution to possible problem before event occurs. Responds to radio dispatches and answers calls and complaints. Respond to emergency calls and alarms and assists in determining the cause or origin of an emergency. Assist and/or direct securing an area and containing any emergency situation. Investigate criminal offenses, traffic accidents, injury reports, and various other reported situations and effectively document preliminary investigation reports. Make arrests and assist in the prosecution of violators of the law. Enforce traffic and parking regulations. Respond to routine calls for assistance including safety escorts, transport of money on and off the campus, and motorist assistance. Assist students, faculty, and other campus visitors with questions, directions, issuing temporary parking permits, opening and closing buildings and classrooms, and various other activities. Performs CPR, First Aid, and use AED equipment as needed. Reports unsafe conditions. Develop partnerships with the campus community and serve as a proactive resource to a uniquely diverse population. Operate law enforcement equipment (including lethal and non-lethal weapons necessary in the performance of required duties). Use of records management system, monthly reporting, college work order system, and other law enforcement related computer systems. May oversee temporary employees under certain circumstances. May represent the department at college meetings or functions. May perform dispatch functions. May be required to work overtime and/or be on call and to be able to respond to emergencies within a reasonable time. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be at least 21 years of age. Graduate of an accredited, approved police academy and be a certified police officer meeting all the requirements for P.O.S.T certification in Tennessee. Meet the requirements of TCA 38-8-106 and TCA 38-8-107 Qualifications of Police Officers. Out of state applicants are required to meet Tennessee P.O.S.T certification requirements within six (6) months of hire. Prior law enforcement experience as full-time certified officer must be within the past three (3) years. Must attend and successfully complete, annually, a department authorized and P.O.S.T approved in-service training course consisting of forty (40) hours of instruction. Must have not been convicted of or pleaded guilty to or entered a plea of nolo contendere to any felony charge or to any violation of any federal or state laws or city ordinances relating to force, violence, theft, dishonesty, gambling, liquor or controlled substances. Possess a valid Tennessee driver’s license. Out of state applicants must obtain a Tennessee driver’s license within thirty (30) days of hire. Have good moral character as determined by a thorough investigation conducted by the employing agency; and/or the POST Commission. Pass a medical examination including vision screening and drug testing. Pass a psychological evaluation. Must successfully complete the department field training program within designated time frame. Proficiency in firearms and non-lethal weapon operation. 
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree in Criminal Justice or related field. Three years of law enforcement experience.

Physical Requirements: This is medium work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects, and some heavy work requiring the exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, crawling, standing, walking, running, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, and feeling; Ability to escalate physical exertion from minimum to maximum instantaneously when necessary to subdue/restrain individual. Vocal communication is required for conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for night vision, peripheral vision, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/ or small parts, use of measuring devises, operation of motor vehicles or equipment, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work and observing general surroundings and activities. Work Environment: The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, noise, hazards and atmospheric conditions. The worker may be exposed to blood borne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protection equipment. As with any position in law enforcement, conditions may be unsafe.
Pay Rate: $44,714 - $53,657 annual salary depending on experience
