Overview
Velociti Services is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Evening Cleaners to provide exceptional janitorial services at an assigned customer site. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by performing routine cleaning and sanitation tasks while delivering quality service and following company safety standards.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, break rooms, conference rooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect floors and surfaces.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
- Clean windows, mirrors, glass, doors, and other high-touch surfaces.
- Restock restroom and break room supplies, including soap, paper towels, tissue, and other consumables.
- Maintain cleanliness of entrances, hallways, stairwells, and shared spaces.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including vacuums, mops, and other janitorial equipment.
- Follow company policies, customer requirements, and OSHA safety guidelines.
- Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, or safety hazards to supervision.
- Maintain janitorial closets, equipment, and supplies in a clean and organized manner.
- Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous commercial cleaning or janitorial experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug screening, when applicable.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of commercial cleaning methods and equipment.
- Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and follow safety procedures.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and complete assignments efficiently.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and twist throughout the shift.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds regularly.
- Perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods.
- Work around cleaning chemicals while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
