Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and respected leader to join AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Inc. as the Assistant Vice President of Surgical Practices & Programs. This position plays a vital role in overseeing the clinical operations of our Surgical Services department, including OR, PACU, SDS, Endoscopy, and more. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders to drive the growth and development of Surgical Service Lines, collaborate with the Executive Director Perioperative Business Operations, and ensure efficient coordination and development of services. They will also actively pursue growth opportunities, build external relationships, and assist as a liaison to the community, all while supporting organizational goals and providing quality customer service.Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the clinical operations of AtlantiCare's Surgical Services, ensuring a high level of safety and quality.
- Work closely with senior leaders on the growth and development of Surgical Service Lines, including Trauma, Musculoskeletal, and Neuroscience.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director Perioperative Business Operations to ensure efficient service development and financial management.
- Coordinate inpatient patient care activities, collaborating with onsite management, hospital staff, and physicians.
- Pursue growth opportunities by developing new programs and services based on community needs and healthcare trends.
- Build and maintain external relationships with referring healthcare organizations and affiliates to drive revenue growth.
- Act as a liaison to the community, participating in initiatives and developing marketing strategies for surgical services.
- Support organizational goals through quality customer service, performance improvement, and teamwork.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in surgical practices and programs.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a related field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or Business Administration) is required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a health-related industry, with management and/or program development responsibilities.
- Documented record of proven accomplishments in planning, fiscal management, and clinical practice management.
- Solid understanding of LSS, organizational vision, and values.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills, including strong interrelationship abilities.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications is preferred, with a commitment to obtaining the skill within 30-60 days of hire.
- Valid Driver's License is required for this position.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, financial, and project management skills.
