This position reports to the Associate Executive Director of Policy Services and will be headquartered in IASB’s Lombard office.Position Summary: The Policy Services Director is responsible for the management of assigned policy and administrative procedures manual customization projects, visiting school districts throughout the state to facilitate such projects, and development, delivery, marketing, and continuous improvement of existing and new policy services and trainings for IASB members.Education and/or Experience Requirements: The Policy Services Director position requires a bachelor’s degree; with school board member, education and/or legal experience a plus. Candidates should possess excellent organizational abilities and strong communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to work independently and take initiative to start and finish projects on required deadlines. This position reports to the Assistant Director of the Office of General Counsel and will be headquartered in the Association’s Lombard office.Position Summary: The Legal Assistant position in the Office of General Counsel provides a wide range of administrative and office support activities for department, including high-level administrative support; creation and maintenance of organized, accurate written procedures and electronic and paper files relating to job tasks and areas of responsibility; and ensures all phone calls, emails, and other communications are handled in an efficient and courteous manner.Education and/or Experience Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification is preferred. Applicants should possess a high-level experience with Microsoft Word and web-based word processing applications and Microsoft Excel, experience assisting lawyers and/or lobbyists, and performing legal research is a plus.
