ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT The CFB’s Auditing &amp; Accounting Unit is comprised of a talented team of auditing professionals with diverse backgrounds who are committed to ensuring that candidates running for City office comply with the Campaign Finance Act and Board Rules. The important work performed by each member of this team has a direct impact on maintaining the integrity of New York City’s matching funds program, which stands as a benchmark for effective campaign finance systems around the country. In addition to safeguarding one of the strongest publicly funded campaign finance systems, the Audit Unit ensures that the CFB’s robust disclosure and oversight requirements, which are key to having an informed electorate, are met by all candidates, regardless of their participation in the matching funds program. The Auditing &amp; Accounting Unit seeks Auditors to join our team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Perform complex compliance, investigative, and financial audits of political campaigns. - Overtime will be required to complete work, as needed. - Analyze financial records and disclosure statements for desk and field financial, compliance and investigative audits of political campaigns. JOB DESCRIPTION The NYC Campaign Finance Board seeks a Director of Marketing &amp; Digital Communications. The Director will create and lead an overall marketing and digital communications strategy for the agency, including both paid campaigns and organic content, that advances the agency’s mission, builds public awareness of the agency’s work, and encourages New Yorkers to participate in elections. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Assist in the management of the recruitment process including posting jobs, sourcing candidates, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding. - Ensure accuracy of external and internal job postings in accordance with civil service and hiring policies. - Publish, socialize, and refresh job postings and announcements; position management in NYCAPS (opening, closing, canceling job positions). - Partner with hiring managers and the Junior Manager of People and Culture to develop job descriptions and hiring strategies. - Maintain and update any applicant tracking reports with accurate information. - Prepare, analyze, and report on recruitment metrics; assist with leading routine recruitment meetings. - Update internal project management boards regularly. - Collaborate with the EEO Officer to meet recruitment goals in alignment with our EEO/DEI plan to address underutilization at the agency. - Develop talent pipelines to assist with long-term hiring needs. - Report on search progress including candidate pipelines, and initiatives. - Follow up with candidates and hiring manager(s) to obtain feedback regarding selection, and status of the recruitment process. - Identify opportunities and build professional relationships with associations, universities, community-based organizations, social and internal/external networking events. - Create and maintain strong relationships with a variety of internal and external business partners (e.g., campus career services staff, local government/community engagement groups, DCAS for E-hire, third party advertising agency, internal hiring managers). - Maintain industry knowledge and provide recommendations of recruitment trends and best practices, souring, active/passive recruitment, and job boards. - Provide high quality customer service to internal and external agency partners. - Support People and Engagement division events and initiatives.
