Job Summary
Gateway Community and Technical College invites applications for the Nurse Aid 12-month instructor position. This faculty position provides support to the Nurse Aide Program/KNAT Coordinator. Instructs four nurse aide training classes per semester and directs labs at the various locations. Class times will be primarily in the afternoon and evening. Responsible for facilitating clinical rotations at long-term care facilities. Provides support of the KNAT assessment and evaluations in accordance to state regulations. **Applicants selected for an interview will be required to give a short (approximately 15 minutes) teaching demonstration on the topic to be determined prior to the interview. 12-month faculty contract covers the entire academic calendar year, from July to June. Job Summary
Practical Nursing Adjunct Instructors are responsible for teaching and supervision of nursing students in on-campus classroom/lab and off-campus clinical settings; evaluating and advising students; maintaining records and completing reports; participating in the development of the program, and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Health Sciences Education Coordinator.

Minimum Requirements: • Candidate must possess at least an Associate Degree in Nursing and hold a current Registered Nursing license in good standing with the State of Tennessee. • Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience as an RN or Allied Health instructor within the last five (5) years. • Evidence in instructional program management and supervision, teaching and curriculum building is desired. • Evidence of proficiency in oral and written communication skills. • Must have good organizational and planning skills. • Must be willing to remain current in the nursing profession. • Must have ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships.
