Position Summary: Pellissippi State Community College is seeking qualified contract instructors for its Workforce and Community Development Programs to meet the needs of our area workforce. We provide customized training for entry level employees as well as for professional advancement. Specific training is conducted at the request of business and industry partners. We also offer open enrollment courses for individuals seeking to upgrade their skills.
Instructors work on a part-time, temporary contract to provide educational instruction for a specific class, workforce training, or youth camp. Instructors are expected to be subject matter experts on their topic, will be responsible for delivery of instruction, and may be responsible for developing instructional materials.
Typical instructional areas include Electrical/Mechanical, Hydraulics/Pneumatics, PLCs, Robotics, Welding, Machining, Industrial Maintenance, Tool and Die, Construction Trades, OSHA, Lean Six Sigma, NFPA70E, Logistics/Supply Chain, Cybersecurity, Networking, Data Analytics, Project Management, Leadership, Supervisory Management, Microsoft Office, and Excel. Required&nbsp;Qualifications: &nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Valid Limited Licensed Plumber (LLP) or current Tennessee-issued journeyman/master plumber license.</li>
<li>Knowledge of instructional safety practices in a lab or shop environment.</li>
<li>Minimum three (3) years of full-time, verifiable plumbing experience.</li>
<li>Postsecondary certificate/diploma in plumbing or related field preferred.</li>
<li>Familiarity with NCCER curriculum and/or Tennessee Residential/Commercial Plumbing Code.</li>
</ul>
Years of Experience: 3 years
Skills and Abilities: Minimum three years of experience as a plumber in a commercial or industrial setting is required.

Position Summary: Pellissippi State Community College is seeking qualified contract instructors (s) to teach HVAC training classes for its Workforce and Community Development Department. We are specifically seeking an instructor for evening classes to be taught on an ongoing basis.

Required Qualifications: Technical certificate or degree in HVAC or Industrial Electricity with a high degree of knowledge and work experience in safety, tools and materials, installation, troubleshooting, and repairing various commercial and HVAC systems. EPA Universal Certification.
