Job Summary:
To increase income for the foundation and improve internal and external relations for the college by prospecting and soliciting major gifts, organizing, and/or implementing various fundraising and programmatic events, activities and projects for the department and the college.
Job Duties:
Work closely with the Vice President for Advancement and Senior Director of Advancement on Capital Campaigns and major gift solicitation. Recruit and work with volunteer committees to plan, organize and implement foundation fundraising events. Conduct prospect research for cultivation purposes. Work with college employees to plan and implement certain college and foundation events such as commencement activities, Hal R. Ramer Society Annual Dinner, Board Meetings, Athletic Association events, regional center events, Tennessee Board of Regents meetings, SACS visits, etc. Work with the President’s Office to plan and implement social and fundraising activities hosted by the President. Make presentations to community groups, civic organizations, and others to promote the college and special events. Develop and maintain business and community relationships throughout the Volunteer State Community College 12 county service area. Work with the Office of Marketing, Communications, and Media Services to actively promote the college and all foundation events and activities. Serve on various campus committees. Ensure appropriate correspondence with volunteers and donors (i.e., meeting announcements, thank you letters, etc.). Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree. 2 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated success at special event fundraising and/or marketing /PR experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Publisher, Adobe InDesign) preferred. Strong presentation skills. Knowledge of the college and its mission, procedures and processes. Ability to give and accept supervision. Ability to evaluate situations, solve problems and make decisions. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for performing a variety of general accounting functions, including managing accounts receivable and preparing financial statement reports. Financial Reporting and Reconciliations (40%)

<li>Prepare and process daily journal entries including oversight of the journal entries completed by the Staff Accountant.</li>
<li>Oversee and prepare month-end closing processes for Accounts Receivable, Cash Flows, and Due-To / Due-From ledger accounts.</li>
<li>Manage monthly bank reconciliations including Local Government Investment Pool (LGIP) accounts.</li>
<li>Prepare and submit both monthly and quarterly reports to the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) or other state/federal entities including but not limited to the quarterly report of the President’s expenses.</li>

Financial Oversight (20%)

<li>Manage billing processes for all financial-related invoices for the college, including tuition and fees for students. Responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring accounts receivable, following up on outstanding invoices, and implementing effective collection strategies as needed.</li>

Manager-Business Development-Sales (Lower Manhattan/NYC)

The Patrol Officer (Police Officer 1) supports students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors by monitoring activity on campus for the purpose of maintaining peace and enforcing laws and supports the college by ensuring a safe educational and work environment. Responds to calls for service; investigates motor vehicle incidents, criminal offenses, and non-criminal incidents; and takes appropriate law enforcement or investigative action.&nbsp; Monitors and reviews security camera recordings to assist in investigations and to ensure safety for the campus community.
Conducts investigations of crimes or incidents committed or occurring on campus; seeks out and questions victims, witnesses, and suspects; develops leads and tips; searches crime scenes; analyzes and evaluates evidence; arrests offenders; prepares cases for giving testimony and testifies in court and disciplinary proceedings.
Assists students, faculty, staff, and visitors as needed and otherwise protects and serves. Assists with emergency planning for the campuses.&nbsp; Participates in emergency management and safety training and coordination. Conducts safety equipment checks as assigned. Maintains Tennessee P.O.ST certification by attending training as necessary.&nbsp; Attends additional training as required and needed for the college and department.
Develops and maintains a positive and professional rapport with local emergency response agencies representing the college and department in a professional manner.
Prepares and maintains various reports and records as required.
May perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISORY:
Does not have any supervisory responsibility.
Most work is performed without direct supervision; however, this position reports directly to and receives supervision from the Chief of Campus Police.
 QUALIFYING JOB STANDARDS:
Required

<li>Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license in order to drive a patrol car</li>
<li>Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent</li>
<li>Must be currently Tennessee P.O.S.T certified or left a full time Tennessee P.O.S.T certified employment within the last three years and certification status must be in good standing (Note: If P.O.S.T is not current then a physical and psychological examination is required upon acceptance).&nbsp;</li>
<li>Must meet or exceed the minimum standard requirements as per TCA 38-8-106.</li>
<li>Must not have been convicted of a felony or of a misdemeanor involving "moral turpitude" and not have been released or discharged under other than honorable conditions from the U.S. Armed Forces</li>
<li>Must have visual acuity correctable to 20/20 with the ability to recognize basic colors</li>
<li>Must possess a level of physical fitness, dexterity, and mental readiness necessary to successfully perform assigned duties under stress and in adverse conditions</li>

ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is completed in a variety of different settings including indoor and outdoor. Incumbent is regularly exposed to different weather conditions including extreme heat and cold, rain, wind, etc. Some work is completed in a temperature-controlled office setting with good lighting.
