Instructors also communicate with students between classes and are responsible for several administrative duties such as reporting on academic activity and submitting final grades.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications:&nbsp; Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution in Engineering, OR Master’s Degree or higher with 18 graduate semester hours in Engineering with other closely related major.&nbsp; Three years teaching experience is preferred.&nbsp; Experience with alternative delivery instructional modes recommended – hybrid, on ground, and online.&nbsp;&nbsp;

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Department Head and/or Lead Faculty, Adjunct Instructors have as their chief duty the instruction of assigned classes, providing quality instruction for student learning and maintaining a positive learning environment in the classroom. Although classes are offered in a variety of formats (virtual, online, hybrid, on-ground), we are prioritizing applicants who are available to teach on ground during the day and/or with our Dual Enrollment program. Responsibilities for Adjunct Instructors include conducting classes using appropriate instructional practices, maintaining records of attendance, evaluating student performance on assignments or lab activities, assigning mid-term grades, assigning final grades, utilizing faculty feedback, completion of mandatory training as needed, and performing other duties as assigned.

The Program Director holds a 12-Month faculty position that reports to the Dean of Healthcare Professions. The Director of the Sonography Program is responsible for the Certificate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and the Certificate of Cardiovascular Sonography Programs at Jackson State Community College. All tasks adhere to CAAHEP and JRCDMS standards, as well as regional healthcare expectations.       Assistant Professor & Program Director of Sonography
    

Title: Assistant Director, Scholarships, Outreach, and Compliance
POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for developing and managing outreach events, managing institutional partnerships including scholarship funds, and directing the development, maintenance and monitoring of the College’s financial aid compliance program.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluate legislative changes for potential impacts to the College and assist the Director in partnering with other institutional departments to respond to pending legislation that impacts the Office of Financial Aid or the College, including identifying regulatory changes and ensuring timely implementation of institutional procedures to ensure ongoing compliance. Lead a risk-based quality control program of the College’s financial aid performance to ensure compliance with regulatory compliance procedures. This includes transaction testing, reporting, deficiency tracking and remediation. Direct an ongoing regulatory training program for institutional partners to ensure regulatory awareness and operational effectiveness. Manage the financial aid operational and communication calendar and processes to ensure timely reporting.
Direct office workflows related to file processing, scanning, year-end and preparation and planning for upcoming fiscal year. Oversee Nashville State’s relationship with the EdAmerica Call Center for quality assurance and serve as the primary contact for referrals and escalations. Additionally handle the submission of training opportunities to EdAmerica. Collaborate with the Welcome Center on Financial Aid issues ensuring timely resolution. Lead the financial aid outreach efforts, by scheduling staff for events and workshops, organizing office-sponsored events, and keeping the financial aid webpage information up to date. Identify and implement process improvements within the financial aid office to increase student success, improve department efficiencies, reduce costs and streamline/simplify financial aid processes for students.
Manage the financial aid components of the CPOS (Course in Program of Study) including daily reports, and collaboration with Records office to resolve any complications. Serve as backup to the co-Assistant Director of Financial Aid, as needed but particularly with professional judgement, dependency overrides, homeless youth determinations, and R2T4s. Direct resolution of engagement reporting throughout the term and during end-of-term processing. Evaluate and determine appropriate resolution for any over awards, coordinate with other employees within the office to resolve. Coordinate with the Student Account &amp; Billing Office on the state aid fund account numbers needed for application of state aid on the Finance side. Coordinate with Records and Student Account &amp; Billing Offices on the resolution of duplicate student records in Banner. Supervise and train assigned office personnel, specifically the coordinators (5). Serve as a member of the SAP and IRP appeal committees.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree
Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in a financial aid office or at least one (1) year of experience in a financial aid office with sufficient NASFAA Professional Credentials to demonstrate required knowledge.
Experience in administering, awarding, and reconciling at least one state aid program (TN Education Lottery Scholarship, TN Reconnect, TN Promise, or TN Student Assistance Award)
Experience using federal EDE software processing websites (such as NSLDS, COD, FPP, etc.) and other financial aid related software.

POSITION SUMMARY This position provides a broad range of specialized laboratory support and guidance to full-time faculty and adjuncts for laboratory science courses on the Clarksville Campus.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Works independently under the direction of science faculty. Sets up supplies, materials and equipment for biology and chemistry laboratories, both for individual stations and for instructor-led demonstrations. Prepares specimens, cultures and slides for biology, anatomy and physiology and microbiology labs. Operates the autoclave and other associated lab equipment.
Assists with and maintains inventory in the science area at the Clarksville Campus. Assists other campuses with inventory of equipment as needed. Prepares purchase orders and receives shipments for the sciences. Assists instructors during laboratory sessions, when appropriate. Assists in other science areas as necessary.       Laboratory Assistant, Clarksville Campus
    

This is a full-time, fiscal year position reporting to the Dean of Health Sciences and assumes Nursing programmatic instructional activities for the needs and demands of the DSCC Nursing Department. &nbsp;This position has a focus for the Dyersburg State Community College Henry County Center; however, official workstation may change from campus and center dependent upon needs and demands of the Nursing Departments. Duties include working with the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing and Nursing Faculty for coordination of student classroom and clinical field experiences. This position will have the responsibility of coordinating and maintaining the activities of the Nursing Program at the DSCC Henry County Center. This position is pending grant approval.

      Nursing Instructor-Henry County 12 month
    

This is a full-time, academic year position reporting to the Dean of Health Sciences and assumes Nursing programmatic instructional activities for the needs and demands of the DSCC Nursing Department. &nbsp;This position has a focus for the Dyersburg State Community College Henry County Center; however, official workstation may change from campus and center dependent upon needs and demands of the Nursing Departments. Duties include working with the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing and Nursing Faculty for coordination of student classroom and clinical field experiences. This position is pending grant approval.
Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>To devote an equivalent of 37.5 hours of work per week.</li>
<li>Responsible for 30 credit hours of Teaching Load Equivalency (TLE) per academic year.</li>
<li>Create a positive environment for learning.</li>
<li>Participate in development of policies and standards for the Department of Nursing.</li>
<li>Assist in classroom and lab (clinical and campus) instruction.</li>
<li>Monitor, grade, and evaluate students’ progress.</li>
<li>Become certified in and fully use the course management system for all classes.</li>
<li>Utilize technology in classroom and lab instruction.</li>
<li>Participate in professional and committee activities including serving on Nursing Department committees as assigned by the Dean and serving on college committees as assigned.</li>
<li>Work cooperatively with clinical facilities to provide optimum clinical experience.</li>
<li>Flexibility to teach evening, weekend, and at both locations as needed (requires use of personal vehicle).</li>
<li>Teach a range of ages of students including nontraditional, returning adults.</li>

<li>Participate in professional development and maintain membership in an appropriate regional, state and/or national organization related to your teaching at DSCC.</li>
<li>Assist in the identification and mentoring of adjunct instructors.</li>
<li>Review, implement, evaluate current Nursing curriculum. Revise and develop Nursing curriculum in cooperation with colleagues as needed; assist in preparation of schedules and in selection of textbooks (including e-textbooks when appropriate).</li>
<li>Advise students, maintain regular office hours which are accessible to students and participate in college life and committee work of the College.</li>
<li>Actively communicate with colleagues and students using email, voice mail, text and other electronic means. Normally, responses are expected in no more than 72 hours.</li>
<li>Be trained and certified as a Master Advisor.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>

Working Conditions:
Sedentary: Desk work; travel will be required for college or program activities. Insignificant effort other than normal movement. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office settings. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
