Job Description Job Summary: The Asset Care Service Technician will install, service, and maintain water purification systems and Reverse Osmosis Systems at customer sites. In this role, you will deliver, set up and exchange ion exchange tanks to customers in commercial and industrial applications. You will drive and operate vehicles that require a Class A license. Key Characteristics (Highlight characteristics required to succeed in the role) • Initiative • Customer Focus • Accountability Duties &amp; Responsibilities (List 5-7 essential functions for the role, focusing on broader responsibilities) • Drive truck to deliver ion exchange tanks and water treatment equipment to customer sites. • Ensure that correct equipment required for the daily route is loaded, secured and meets quality specs. Load and unload tanks on trucks and maintain correct inventory on board trucks as required. • Completes Vehicle Inspection Reports for pre-trip inspection. • Keep accurate accountability of inventory at each site and make changes as needed. Communicates changes thru the proper channels and follows up to ensure that changes have been made. • Takes water samples and conducts the following tests including but not limited to TDS, resistivity, pH, CO2, Cl2 and hardness. Accurately record results and make suggestions or changes as required. • Rinses ion exchange tanks to customer specifications at customer sites and ensures quality specifications are met. • Performs both dry and wet ion exchange tank exchanges. • Performs maintenance on equipment to include PVC repair, and minor pump and motor repairs. • Maintains good housekeeping at all times, which includes the vehicles and customer sites. • Travel to facilities up to four hours away with return in the same day (no overnights) • Follows Water Tech and customer EHS policies and rules. • Maintains contact with customers on site, communicating effectively, politely, and responding to their needs. Responsibilities may change over time and may be assigned at any time. • Assist with equipment or product delivery outside normal scope when needed due to business levels. • May be required to be on call during non-business hours. • Maintains flexible schedule for On-Call and Overtime work Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities Preferred: • Knowledge of commercial &amp; industrial membrane systems &amp; UV systems. • Knowledge of PLC logic/programing. • Knowledge of ion exchange &amp; membrane theory &amp; operation, as well as pretreatment applications. • Vocational training in applicable fields such as electrical, industrial/mechanical` • Familiar with formulas and algebra associated with Reverse Osmosis systems Qualifications Education &amp; Experience Required: • HS Diploma, GED or equivalent • Possess a valid Class A driver's license • Possess a valid driver's license &amp; clean driving record history • Possess a valid driver's license &amp; clean driving record history Preferred (if applicable): • Associate's Degree in electrical, industrial / mechanical, engineering, or water treatment disciplines • College coursework in chemistry • Experience driving company vehicles such as panel vans or service trucks Additional Information Working Conditions • Ability &amp; willingness to handle repetitive weight - 50 lbs • Ability &amp; willingness to work in all weather conditions • Ability &amp; willingness to work on elevated and uneven surfaces • Ability &amp; willingness to work in low areas and/or in low posture for extended periods of time • Ability &amp; willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, laboratories, food grade facilities &amp; power industry facilities • You will be on call for a week at a time, available to perform any contractual service As an inclusive company, Veolia is committed to diversity and gives equal consideration to all applications, without discrimination.
