Assists with the installation of tooling on the Tube Mills.Essential functions:<ul><li>Observes operation and verifies dimensions of finished products.</li><li>Routinely inspects and removes finished pieces from machine bed.</li><li>Makes all necessary quality checks and records those checks as required.</li><li>Performs routine and nonroutine maintenance on the mill and related equipment as directed by the Team Lead.</li><li>Operates all material handling equipment (forklifts, bridge cranes, and hand trucks)</li><li>Performs accurate quantity counts on all incoming and outgoing materials.</li><li>Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information with paint stick or stencils with spray paint.</li><li>Unloads all material being received from semi-truck trailers using large forklifts and moves material to designated warehouse location.</li><li>Stores all incoming material into the warehouse ensuring that all tags, paperwork and data is complete. </li><li>Fills all production, shipping orders as required and assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers and boxing, bundling, crafting, or banding items for various methods of shipments desired. </li><li>Compares identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items on outgoing shipments to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED, preferred.</li><li>Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. On the job training (OJT), if applicable, is to be performed by a qualified operator and/or Team Leader.</li><li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li><li>Ability to read tape measures and blue prints.</li><li>Able to operate runout tables, end finishing and bundling, storage building loads.</li><li>Must qualify and maintain handler’s equipment operator license as provided by the company.</li><li>Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals</li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.</li><li>Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, ear plugs, etc)</li><li>Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required by the Team Leader, and to meet our customer’s needs. </li></ul>Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
