The Bioinformaticist II will collaborate with investigators in the Brugge lab and partner labs to perform bioinformatics analyses, statistical modeling, and hypothesis generation from large-scale, multi-modal patient-derived datasets.This position will work with other scientists to define different states of epithelial and stromal cells in breast tissues from women who carry wildtype or mutant forms of BRCA1 or BRCA2. The lab uses advanced single cell approaches to profile the genetic, epigenetic and transcriptomic landscape to identify strategies to preventive the progress of breast cancer. They integrate this information with high-throughput immunofluorescence microscopy to locate cells of interest in situ. This position will play a key scientific role leveraging computational strategies and bioinformatics tools and analysis methods expertise to identify the earliest molecular changes that take place prior to cancer initiation as well as critical programs involved in therapy resistance.In this role, the person will have a path to grow and thrive through unique opportunities to examine normal breast tissues from women at high-risk of developing breast cancer. The person would be able to pursue innovative approaches to address fundamental biological questions of tumor biology while advancing their knowledge of cancer biology alongside some of the brightest minds in cancer research.Analysis scenarios will involve applying cutting-edge bioinformatics, statistics, ML/AI, and data analysis methods integrating clinical and multi-modal data sets from donor tissues and from oncology clinical studies. Data types include scRNAseq, scATACseq, spatial transcriptomics, among others. This role offers a path for scientific growth and innovation, including opportunities to publish in high-impact journals and contribute to the development of preventive and therapeutic strategies for breast and ovarian cancer. <h4>How you will change lives</h4>As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team providing care and delegated activities of treatment to patients. <h4>How you'll change lives</h4>As a Registered Nurse (RN) at US Renal Care, you'll be an integral part of a cross-functional team, working under the supervision of a Charge Nurse and assisting and supervising Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to care for patients living with kidney disease.<h4>What you'll be doing</h4>Patient care. You'll work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment. Responsibilities include completing and documenting physical assessments before and after treatments and monitoring patients during treatment. You'll ensure quality renal care by completing monthly reviews of patient medication profiles and administering medications according to physician orders. Teamwork. You'll be a critical member of an interdisciplinary team to provide all required patient assessment and care planning activities. You'll also make sure center staffing requirements are met at all times under the direction of the Administrator and according to state regulations for staffing ratios.Safety &amp; Quality. Working under the supervision of a Charge Nurse, you'll adhere to all company policies and procedures and state and federal laws and regulations. Join us on our journey of growth!SUMMARY:The Senior Counsel position is responsible for handling a variety of substantive legal issues, providing legal, regulatory and compliance counsel to Lundbeck’s US rapidly growing business units and senior management.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>Supports marketed pharmaceutical products and products in development by providing substantive advice to US operations, including Marketing, Medical Affairs and Regulatory Affairs departments, concerning a broad range of business, legal, regulatory and compliance issues, including FDA regulations, False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, OIG guidance, the PhRMA Code, the Sunshine Act, privacy and data security laws and regulations, and competition law, in connection with product labeling, promotional and non-promotional activities, marketing strategies, sales activities and compensation, pharmacovigilance and medical information and interactions with healthcare professionals.</li><li>Reviews marketing and other external materials for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies </li><li>Collaboratively evaluates and resolves legal and strategic issues working on cross-functional projects and communicates solutions verbally and in writing to management and senior management.</li><li>Effectively communicates legal issues and risks to internal and external stakeholders regarding Lundbeck’s business and supported areas.</li><li>Internally supports key stakeholders; keeping abreast of changes in laws that affect client areas.</li><li>Advises internal teams on co-promotion arrangement and liaises with co-promotion partner contacts as needed.</li><li>Prepares, reviews and negotiates commercial agreements, vendor agreements, service agreements, consulting agreements, corporate agreements, confidentiality agreements and certain medical affairs agreements.</li><li>Serves as legal representative on various business and operational committees.</li><li>Provides guidance and direction to paralegal team responsible for day to day contracting.</li><li>Resolves legal issues using negotiation skills and legal expertise.</li><li>Serves as a resource to colleagues regarding specific areas of knowledge and fosters collaborative working environment.</li><li>Steps into advisory role in selective situations and assumes responsibility as need arises.</li></ul>REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:<ul><li>JD Degree from an ABA accredited law school</li><li>Admission to the Bar in Illinois or willing to be admitted to the Illinois Bar</li><li>4+ years of experience as an attorney/counsel, with at least 2 years in a Law firm</li><li>Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including strong business communications and contract drafting skills</li><li>Ability to translate legal principles to management and other line function personnel</li><li>Ability to meet deadlines on multiple projects as well as the ability to converse effectively with all levels of colleagues and employees</li></ul>PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:<ul><li>Previous experience counselling clients within the pharmaceutical, medical device or biotech industries</li><li>Familiarity with FDA drug and biologic law, False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, OIG guidance, the PhRMA Code, the Sunshine Act, privacy and data security laws and regulations, competition law and US pharmaceutical compliance program requirements</li><li>Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating operational contracts</li><li>Litigation experience</li><li>Market Access experience</li><li>Experience supporting Commercial Business</li><li>Experience working in or advising on co-promotion arrangements</li><li>Advertising and Promotional Review experience</li></ul>TRAVEL<ul><li>Willingness/Ability to travel up to 10% domestically. International travel may also be required.</li></ul>The range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Illinois, if selected for this role, and may vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Salary Pay Range: $180,000 - $210,000 and eligibility for a 15% bonus target based on company and individual performance, and eligibility to participate in the company’s long-term incentive plan.
