Title: Temporary - Evening Coordinator, Dickson Campus
POSITION SUMMARY Serves as the primary point of contact for basic administrative, instructional and facilities support for evening operations at the Dickson Campus. Acts as an evening resource for faculty, staff and students and responds to emergencies during evening hours.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Is the principal point of contact for evening operations. Facilitates the use of campus facilities during evening hours. Acts as a liaison between campus director, faculty, staff and students to facilitate evening operations. Ensures that the campus is supervised and high traffic areas are overseen during evening hours.
In the event of an emergency during evening hours of operation, executes campus emergency procedures and communicates with various college personnel and/or external agencies as the situation and/or protocols warrant. Keeps the campus director and other appropriate college personnel informed of any incidents or concerns that arise during the evening. Manages projects as directed by the campus director. Monitors the campus phone and campus email inbox while on duty. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s degree
One year experience in an administrative support role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience in higher education
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to work effectively with co-workers, faculty and students. Ability to work effectively with minimal direct supervision. Ability to multi-task and be responsive to time-sensitive requests. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

Job Summary
• Provide instruction and guidance in reading writing competencies. • Provide support for and guidance in the successful completion of the associated gateway course curriculum and assignments. • Jackson State offers classes at four locations, with the main campus located in Jackson, TN. Additional centers include the Lexington-Henderson County Center in Lexington, TN, the Savannah-Hardin County Center in Savannah, TN, and the Gibson County Center in Trenton, TN. Adjunct faculty are hired as needed on a semester-to-semester basis and are expected to provide effective instruction in accordance with the catalog description and the approved course syllabus. 
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Teach courses via on ground at any of the four JSCC locations. In addition, courses may be administered online, hybrid, or FLEX as assigned.</li>
<li>Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment, and distance-based courses as required.</li>
<li>Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide course materials to students.</li>
<li>Submit updated course syllabi at least 1 week prior to the first day of class.</li>
<li>Submit requested content to eLearn course materials at least 1 week prior to the first day of class.</li>
<li>Attend JSCC’s adjunct orientation</li>
<li>Regularly check both your JSCC and eLearn emails and respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on the weekend.</li>
<li>Provide regular and timely feedback to students on assignments and course progress, including, but not limited to, weekly grades, midterm grades, and meaningful written or oral feedback on individual assignments.</li>
<li>Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.</li>
<li>Complete all required College trainings and reports, such as attendance and Early Alerts, by the respective deadlines.</li>
<li>Advise the Department Chair, Dean, and Department Secretary at the earliest possibility if you are unable to teach a class.</li>
<li>Comply with all the College’s and TBR’s policies and guidelines.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in a related field.

Job Duties

<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA regulations.</li>

JOB SUMMARY
The primary role of the Math Lab Tutor is to provide content-specific assistance in the learning process to individual or group of students. This position requires the employee to have excellent communication, social skills and the ability to adapt his or her teaching methods to meet the needs of the student.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

<li>Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide them with academic tutoring to improve their understanding of content, at all levels.</li>
<li>Use various teaching strategies to tutor.</li>
<li>Monitor students while testing.</li>
<li>Provide insight into academic needs of students and suggest strategies for addressing areas of student concern (i.e., learning, classroom behavior).</li>
<li>Motivate and support students through positive feedback and reinforcement.</li>
<li>Contribute to the college-going culture through informal mentoring with students.</li>
<li>Tutors may be asked to assist with additional tasks to support various departments in the college.</li>
</ul>
EQUIPMENT
Work activities routinely involves work with personal computers and peripheral devices. Math lab tutoring involves moving between lab computers and circulating the room to proctor students.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge or willingness to train in Statistics, Pre-Algebra, College Algebra, Precalculus, and Applied Calculus.
JOB STANDARDS/QUALIFICATIONS
