Battery Mechanic is responsible for the total maintenance of lead acid industrial batteries for all forklift, order picker, reach truck and pallet mover batteries. This includes changing batteries, filling them with water, cleaning acid from the exterior of the batteries and performing a complete battery cleaning. Other duties include keeping the battery storage racking &amp; Battery room clean of acid residue, debris, dirt &amp; general housekeeping. Changer will make sure the battery chargers are working properly and notifying Maintenance Specialist &amp; Supervisor of any needed repair, maintain the power battery chargers in top operating condition as well as testing and repairing all lead acid industrial batteries.
