This is a full-time, grant-funded position working under direct supervision of the Police Supervisor (Captain) and general supervision of the Associate Director of Public Safety. This position is designated to work at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology locations within Memphis.
The Police Officer 1 investigates crimes and accidents, protecting faculty, staff, students, visitors, and property, facilities by law enforcement. He/she responds to calls for assistance including emergency crisis situations and provides other safety related services. He/she must be flexible to work different shifts if and when deemed necessary.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Assures building security, traffic control, parking lot management, and patrol readiness for crime and hazards.</li>
<li>Patrols the campus/specific area by foot, bicycle, or motor vehicle/motorized conveyance.</li>
<li>Issues citations for traffic and parking violations.</li>
<li>Responds to radio and telephone calls; electronic alarms such as fire alarm, personal injuries and crime in progress.</li>

Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Meets the requirements of a Certified Police Officer, per TCA 38-8-107, including completion or attendance and completion within one year following employment, of a law enforcement academy curriculum approved by the Tennessee Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission (P.O.S.T). 
<ul>
<li>Meets the requirements of TCA 38-8-106, Qualifications of Police Officers:</li>
<li>Be at least eighteen (18) years of age</li>
<li>High school graduate or possess equivalency</li>
<li>Not have been convicted of ANY felonies</li>
<li>Not have been released/discharged under any other circumstance than honorable discharge from any of the armed forces of the United States</li>
<li>Have their fingerprints on file with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation</li>

The Success Coach provides intrusive coaching and structured intervention for students on academic probation through the Saluqi Success Pathway Program. This position ensures students receive personalized academic coaching, skill-building support, and resource navigation to regain good academic standing and persist toward graduation. Success Coaches also staff the Success Hubs, where they provide academic guidance and connect students to tutoring, advising, and other wraparound services. Additionally, Success Coaches collaborate with Financial Aid, Academic Advising, Career Services, and Student Advocacy and Support to assist students in navigating Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeals, academic suspension appeals, and grade appeals. Success Coaches also lead intervention workshops focused on study skills, time management, academic self-advocacy, and test-taking strategies.
Job Duties

<li>Reports to the Director of the Office of Academic Intervention.</li>
<li>Manages a caseload of students on academic probation, providing structured coaching and support through the Saluqi Success Pathway Program.</li>
<li>Monitors student engagement and progress, ensuring students on academic probation attend required workshops, coaching sessions, and advising appointments.</li>
<li>Conducts proactive outreach via phone, email, and in-person meetings to encourage participation in coaching sessions, Saluqi Success Workshops, and tutoring services.</li>
<li>Provides individualized coaching and intervention sessions, focusing on study skills, time management, academic self-advocacy, and resource navigation.</li>
<li>Develops and tracks individualized success plans for students on academic probation.</li>
<li>Leads student success workshops in collaboration with the Academic Support Center, Career Services, and Student Advocacy and Support.</li>
<li>Collaborates with Academic Deans, CAC Managers, Financial Aid Specialists, and Career Specialists as part of the CAC Model.</li>
<li>Represents the Office of Academic Intervention at Academic Division leadership meetings as invited by the Division Dean</li>
<li>Works with Financial Aid to guide students through the SAP appeal process and ensure continued eligibility for financial aid.</li>
<li>Supports students in submitting academic suspension appeals and navigating reinstatement processes.</li>

Title: Part-Time: Academic Support for Students with Disabilities

This is a part-time position funded by Project MOST.
This position is not for any currently enrolled Southwest Tennessee Community College students.
The part-time advocate is integrated into the Center for Access to assist staff with supporting students with disabilities at Southwest. The advocate will assist with daily activities for the Center for Access Office. Duties include but are not limited to: notetaking, scribing, reading exams, and planning/assisting with LEAD organization activities. Advocate may assist in Center for Access new/renewal intake sessions. Maintain assigned caseload of Center for Access registrants. Must have dependable transportation to travel to all campuses/centers as needed. Advocates will work a maximum of 25 hours per week. The is an in-person role and any virtual hours will be left to the discretion of the department head.

Job Duties

<li>Prepares and delivers instruction delivers instruction in classroom and clinical facilities on topics in Pharmacy Technology</li>
<li>Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, tests, and papers fairly and consistently; and keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of papers and other work.</li>
<li>Develops curricula and instructional material such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.</li>
<li>Maintains office hours for students seeking academic advice, assists in student recruitment and retention; and assists students with course-related problems outside of the classroom.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA regulations.</li>
<li>Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Dean or Department Chair.</li>
<li>Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.</li>
<li>Participates in departmental and college committees; and provides outreach service to the community.</li>
<li>Effectively administer assessment of student learning and technical objectives.</li>

This is a full-time permanent position under the supervision of the assigned Custodial Supervisor. The Ground Worker 2 is responsible for maintaining grounds, streets and walks at assigned campus, and related work as required. Incumbent is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community campus/center as assigned. May be required to provide services outside of normal work hours and week. This position may be contacted during non-duty hours. 
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Adhere to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment for everyone.</li>
<li>Cleans all exterior glass, including windows and door glass.</li>
<li>Removes all trash from assigned areas by collecting trash from various trash containers and receptacles and transporting the trash to designated outside trash dumpsters.</li>
<li>Uses cleaning chemicals properly and safely.</li>
<li>Assists in preventing accidents resulting from snow or ice covered walkways by shoveling or sweeping snow or ice from sidewalks and entrances and spreading ice melt.</li>
<li>Remove fallen tree limbs, small trees, and report large trees to supervisor.</li>
<li>Clear storm drains of trash, leaves and over grown plants.</li>
<li>Inspect fences for repairs and or replacement.</li>

<li>Report vandalism, illegal postings, damage to site features, and trash or recycle issues to the Campus Supervisor.</li>

Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring and summer. The Adjunct Instructor is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. The Instructor is responsible for performing assigned teaching duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, academic advising, serving on various committees, participating in professional activities and organizations.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Prepares and delivers instruction on topics in Engineering Technology.</li>
<li>Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, tests, and papers fairly and consistently; and keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of papers and other work.</li>
<li>Develops curricula and instructional material such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.</li>
<li>Maintains office hours for students seeking academic advice, assists in student recruitment and retention; and assists students with course-related problems outside of the classroom.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA regulations.</li>
<li>Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Dean or Department Chair.</li>
<li>Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.</li>
<li>Participates in departmental and college committees; and provides outreach service to the community.</li>
<li>May perform other duties as assign by Department Head/Dean.</li>

Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or master’s degree in another discipline with 18 hours of graduate work in the teaching discipline.</li>
<li>Minimum two (2) years teaching experience in higher education or one (1) year teaching experience and three (3) years employment in the field.</li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of current teaching and learning strategies to facilitate student-centered learning; experience interacting successfully with an ever-growing student population.</li>
<li>Skill in selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.</li>
<li>Ability to integrate technology into course delivery.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.</li>
<li>Willingness and flexibility to teach classes using various instructional delivery methods at any of the six locations.</li>
