Member Service Advisor, Wilmington (Branch Advisor)

ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Credit Reporting and Disputes Specialist is responsible for the review and accurate submission of credit data to the credit bureaus and the processing and response to consumer credit disputes. This role ensures full compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Metro 2 standards by performing timely and accurate data reviews, corrections, and updates using tools such as e-OSCAR. NORMAL DAY-TO-DAY WORK<ol><li> Monitor and validate credit bureau reporting files for accuracy and completeness.</li><li> Investigate and resolve consumer disputes received through e-OSCAR and direct channels within FCRA/FACTA-mandated timelines.</li><li> Analyze loan servicing and system data to validate account statuses, payment histories, and other reported information.</li><li> Submit updated or corrected credit reporting data as necessary.</li><li> Research consumer complaints related to credit reporting, document findings, and determine appropriate resolutions.</li><li> Maintain detailed documentation of dispute resolution processes and outcomes.</li><li> Respond to credit verification requests.</li><li> Collaborate with Loan Operations, Collections, and Risk and Compliance to resolve data discrepancies related to credit reporting.</li><li>Support audits and regulatory exam reviews by providing documentation and subject matter input.</li><li>Maintain compliance with FCRA, CFPB regulations, and industry best practices.</li><li> Stay current on FCRA requirements, Metro 2® changes, and industry best practices.</li><li> Take ownership for actions, decisions, and results; openly accept feedback and demonstrate both the willingness and ability to improve.</li></ol> JOB QUALIFICATIONSHere are a few skills you MUST have to be qualified for this position.<ol><li> 1 – 3 years of experience in credit bureau reporting and dispute management.</li><li> Familiarity with FCRA/FACTA, Metro 2 reporting standards, and e-OSCAR.</li><li> Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills.</li><li> Must possess a strong service orientation.</li><li>Ability to function in a Consumer business office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.</li><li> Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
