SUMMARY
The Industrial Maintenance and Automation Instructor shall be directly responsible to the institution administration for effective performance of assigned responsibilities and duties. The instructor shall observe rules, policies, and regulations set forth by the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville (TCAT), Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), and the Council of Occupational Education (COE); and shall strive to promote and elevate the mission and philosophy of occupational education within the areas served. They shall keep abreast of industry standards and techniques by visiting industry partners, continuing education, and reviewing periodicals and industrial magazines commensurate to the course being taught.&nbsp; The instructor shall develop and maintain a complete progressive course of study, lesson plans, assignments, and instructional aides to meet educational requirements and industry standards. They shall also oversee student conduct, motivation, safety, discipline, and appearance, addressing issues as they arise. The instructor shall build and cultivate partnering relationships with schools, business, and industry partners to promote the ideals of occupational education and implement an effective placement program for students.&nbsp;
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
<ul>
<li>High school graduate or the equivalent as determined by the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET).</li>
<li>3+ years of approved work experience in the occupation to be taught.</li>
</ul>
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>Associate degree or diploma from an accredited technical training program in the related field.</li>
<li>3+ years technical teaching experience.</li>
<li>5+ years industry related experience.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Safety Data Sheet (SDS) labeling and policy.</li>
<li>OSHA 10 certification.</li>
<li>Classroom experience and administrative experience in delivery of workforce education and competency-based training preferred.</li>

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES

RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Ensure the program aligns with all Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville (TCAT), Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), and Council of Occupational Education (COE) policy requirements.</li>
<li>Maintain a current knowledge of industry trends and technological advances in the industry.</li>
<li>Maintain an organized, safe, and stable learning environment that is conducive to all (COE) accreditation requirements.</li>
<li>Evaluate and select textbooks and reference materials, prepare curriculum, develop lesson plans, implement active learning activities to accommodate different learning styles, and teach industry skills and competencies commensurate to the course.</li>
<li>Prepare and/or select and utilize reliable formative and summative in-class assessment tools/techniques to measure student achievement of course competencies.</li>
<li>Establish grading criteria and utilize Banner to record and submit grades and attendance (tardiness and absences) daily.</li>
<li>Distribute student syllabus at the beginning of the course to define course competencies, performance criteria, established approved grading procedures and standards, attendance and class policies/procedures, and other necessary information to students.</li>
<li>Teach worker ethics curriculum, interpersonal skills, post-secondary workforce skills, and soft skills within the standard industry framework.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a commitment to student success by providing guidance and advice to students regarding program areas, course progress, and academic and disciplinary issues.</li>
<li>Coordinate all disciplinary issues with administration and student services coordinator.</li>
<li>Coordinate with Technology Foundations Instructor to schedule student instruction times.</li>

<li>Coordinate with the Recruitment Coordinator and the Dual Enrollment Coordinator to present program information and promote dual enrollment opportunities to high schools and community.</li>
<li>Meet and collaborate with industry partners on technological advances related to program and occupation.</li>
<li>Establish a high quality, active Occupational Advisory Committee (OAC) per COE guidance and perform no less than two (2) OAC meetings per academic year.</li>
<li>Provide work-based learning opportunities to all students.</li>
<li>Coordinate student career guidance options with Career Services Coordinator.</li>
<li>Conduct follow-up on employment of graduates and maintain follow-up records on former students.</li>
<li>Be responsible for and maintain inventory, control, and light repair of all equipment, tools, and supplies assigned to the department’s classroom and lab. Report loss or damage immediately.</li>
<li>Be responsible for and maintain program budget to coordinate the need for equipment, tools, and supplies; make recommendations for and submit Purchase Orders for items needed for the program.</li>

JOB SUMMARY
The primary role of the Math Lab Student Tutor is to provide content-specific assistance in the learning process to individuals or groups of students. This position requires the student employee to have excellent communication, social skills and the ability to adapt his or her teaching methods to meet the needs of each student.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
<ul>
<li>Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide them with academic tutoring to improve their understanding of content, at all levels.</li>
<li>Use various teaching strategies for tutoring.</li>
<li>Monitor students while testing.</li>
<li>Motivate and support students through positive feedback and reinforcement.</li>
</ul>
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Tutors may be asked to assist with additional tasks to support various departments in the college.
EQUIPMENT
Work activities routinely involves work with personal computers and peripheral devices. Math lab tutoring involves moving between lab computers and circulating the room to proctor students.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge in Statistics, Precalculus, or Calculus.
JOB STANDARDS/QUALIFICATIONS

Position Overview:
The Disability Resource Center is seeking a dedicated and proactive individual for a part-time temporary position focused on test proctoring and accessibility support. The successful candidate will split their time between our Columbia and Williamson campuses, ensuring a seamless experience for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

<li>Proctor exams and ensure a fair and accessible testing environment.</li>
<li>Assist with various accessibility matters, including accommodations and support services.</li>
<li>Maintain clear communication with students, faculty, and staff regarding testing and accessibility needs.</li>

Computer Skills:&nbsp;Proficiency in computer use is required.</li>

Title: Instructor of Nursing 9/10 Month (Term)

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for providing guidance, instruction and leadership to registered nursing students enrolled in the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing program at the assigned program site. Assist with evaluation, scheduling, and advising of students. Provide classroom and clinical instruction to students enrolled in the AASN program utilizing team teaching methodology in an academic environment.
Job Duties:&nbsp;Teach 28-32 hours per academic year via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities as assigned. Provide instruction in theory and clinical practice in one or more of the following nursing areas: Medical-Surgical, Women's Health-Mother/Infant, Mental Health/Psychiatric, Gerontology/Geriatrics or other nursing practice specialty. Instruction may include: Personal hygiene, client abuse, human sexuality, cultural diversity, ethnicity, nutrition (nursing, therapeutic aspects), pharmacology, legal, social and ethical aspects of nursing, nursing leadership and management. Participate in division activities associated with the instructional program. Communicate clearly with students and colleagues. Work effectively with traditional and non-traditional students including but not limited to the culturally and ethnically diverse. Demonstrate a willingness and commitment to extra-curricular responsibilities on behalf of the department of nursing, college and district. Participate in professional organizations related to nursing and teaching. Adapt to changes in the nursing program. Apply theories and principles of learning to instruction. Adapt instruction to the entry level knowledge and skills of students. Recommend course and program changes to the Division Dean when appropriate. Develop syllabi which meet college requirements and student needs. Use alternative instructional strategies where appropriate. Use evaluations to revise and update content, objectives, and instructional strategies. Give examinations and other types of evaluations necessary to determine student level of performance and understanding. Keep students aware of their progress in the course. Perform record-keeping responsibilities related to teaching and advising. Respond in a timely fashion to all reasonable deadlines. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college and at least 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline OR a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college and actively enrolled in a Master of Science in Nursing program. Must be endorsed with appropriate credentials of and unencumbered RN licensure in the State of Tennessee, CPR certification for healthcare professionals, advanced preparation and experience in a nursing practice specialty. Minimum of three years related work experience as an RN. 
Preferred Qualifications:
Collegiate level teaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Pay Rate: $43,260 - $54,075 annual salary depending on experience
