Job Summary
Reporting to the Program Director for Adult Education, the Adult Ed - Technical Transition Coach/Instructor will teach technical trades programs with Core Curricula which including safety, basic craft skills, power tool, shop tool and hand tool usage. Communication and construction drawings are also components of the Core Curricula this position will be responsible for teaching. In addition, electrical, welding or other trades related training programs are preferred. The Coach also works with students to ensure they are progressing through the program, completing benchmarks, and transitioning to postsecondary/training or job opportunities.
Job Duties
• Deliver NCCER Core field-specific lab training content to a diverse audience
• Deliver other technical trades programs as driven by customer needs
• Drive improvement in process effectiveness and efficiency
• Discuss students’ academic and career goals with them, and provide them with career advisement both in person and using various media tools (e.g., telephone, video conference, social media, texting, etc.)
• Work with students and their instructors to develop a learning plan that identifies the student’s current skill levels, the skill levels they need to meet their academic and career goals, and the instruction and training required to fill the skills gaps
• Assist adult education instructors to incorporate workforce preparation activities into instruction, and to provide instruction contextualized with career readiness and specific career pathways where possible
• Coordinate processes for student co-enrollment, referrals, and transitions between the adult education program and workforce partners and supportive service providers, including government and community-based organizations
• Coordinate opportunities for students to dual-enroll in postsecondary education or training programs, and ensure students take advantage of these opportunities
• Work with local employers to develop opportunities for adult education services to be provided at the workplace
• Promote adult education programs in the community and help businesses, workforce agencies, and other education organizations understand the benefits of adult education as a critical part of the training and employment pipeline

FUNCTION OF THE JOB:
Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville is accepting applications for two Welding Technology Instructor positions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Faculty will teach a total 28-32 semester credit hours across Fall and Spring semesters. Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment, and distance-based courses as required. Provide appropriate and effective instruction. Create and contribute to a supportive learning environment for students within and beyond the classroom. Actively participate in development, evaluation, and review of program and curriculum, including assisting with or leading affiliation and accreditation efforts as applicable. Attend to administrative duties, including completion of required College trainings and timely submission of attendance reporting, progress reports, grades, survey responses and other required information. Contribute to College service, including Student-Focused Service and Mentorship (advising, career services, student organization sponsorship, etc.) and committee, taskforce, and project work at the College, division, and department level. Support student recruitment and retention efforts as appropriate. Engage in regular professional development around pedagogy and maintain up-to-date subject-matter expertise; support a culture of lifelong learning. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Filmmaking, Television Production, Video Production, or a related discipline from a regionally accredited institution OR an Associate’s degree in Filmmaking, Television Production, or Video Production from a regionally accredited institution and significant industry experience in filmmaking or video production fields. Experience with industry-standard software including Adobe Creative Suite and other industry-standard video production tools and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or MFA in Filmmaking or related discipline from a regionally accredited institution. Collegiate-level teaching experience. Industry experience. 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and/or experience delivering effective instruction in a variety of formats, including asynchronous online, traditional on-ground, hybrid. Ability to use a learning management system for course delivery and maintenance of course records. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and any technologies or software pertinent to the subject area of instruction.

Perform plumbing to include assembling, installing, repairing; pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and sewer systems, opening clogged drains. Title: Accounts Receivable Manager
POSITION SUMMARY The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for the prompt billing and collection of customer invoices.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Process full-cycle A/R transactions. Manage the daily workflow of department operations related to A/R and collection processes, overseeing a small team of accounting support staff. Monitor and analyze the College’s daily cash position to cover cash commitments and assist in the execution of the daily cash management duties. Manage the A/R monthly close process, including reconciliation of A/R sub-ledger to GL, preparation of A/R schedules and reporting of revenue and reconciliation to GL. Assess the College’s reserve for doubtful accounts, adjusting the reserve as necessary to ensure reserve is GAAP compliant. Report, reconcile and analyze A/R accounts with significant outstanding balances on a monthly basis and initiate collections and refunds. Oversee account collections in accordance with College policy.
Promptly track, post and reconcile all forms of customer payments, including EFT, checks and credit cards. Communicate with internal and external parties to verify accuracy of charges, correct billing errors and resolve complaints. Perform daily TouchNet related bill payment/banking activities. Upload positive banking files to operating banks and record incoming ACH files. Complete IRS Form 1098-T student tax reporting. Run and review system reports and conduct comprehensive quality checks to ensure accuracy of billed services and resolve billing/payment discrepancies or irregularities. Provide daily, weekly and monthly A/R reports to upper management. Work with other departments to resolve A/R and credit needs and develop appropriate A/R reports. Escalate complex problems to Director in a timely manner. May serve as the acting Director during the Director’s absence.
