What happens after I apply?

  • You will receive an email confirming your application and if you successfully applied.

I had an issue with my application, who do I contact?

I applied through an external website, do I need to apply through the Columbus State Community College job board?

  • Yes. Even if you apply through Indeed or another website, you will still need to create a profile and apply through the CSCC job board at jobs.cscc.edu.

What is the pre-employment process and must all of it be completed?

  • The pre-employment varies slightly dependent on position but generally consists of a background check, drug screen and reference check. If you are selected for a role, your Talent Acquisition Partner will discuss these requirements. 

How do internal candidates to Columbus State Community College apply?

  • There is a separate job board page for internal employees. That can be found by logging into Cornerstone and accessing the Career Center. Once there, you can view all positions that are posting internally and externally. 

I applied for an adjunct role and haven’t heard anything. What can I do?

  • Our adjunct positions are pooled and are hired on an as needed basis semester. You can follow up on your application by contacting talentacquisition@cscc.edu and a Talent Acquisition Partner will respond accordingly.

I qualify for a position but was rejected. Who can I contact to discuss?

Do I need to upload a resume if I choose to share my LinkedIn?

  • While it is not a requirement, we strongly encourage all applicants to upload a resume and cover letter with their applications. 

I have applied to multiple roles with CSCC, does that preclude from getting an interview?

  • We encourage applicants to apply to all job postings that they meet the qualifications on.
