Overview of Role/Job Purpose:
The Training Specialist III is responsible for delivering product functionality training to VertexOne clients and employees. They will meet product training initiatives, including developing training resources on new products and features, tracking training class details, delivering training course surveys, and providing instructional support to clients. The Training Specialist III will also be responsible for learning and developing the training resources for new VertexOne products. The Training Specialist III may also assist in conducting classroom observations and providing feedback to Training Specialist I’s and II’s.
The Training Specialist III will possess excellent analytical, communication, and coaching skills. They will use appropriate teaching methods to cater to various learning styles. By developing skills and helping individuals reach their potential, the Training Specialist III will contribute to building client and employee satisfaction and ensuring the successful implementation of VertexOne products.
Essential Job Duties:
- Update both informal and formal learning resources using a variety of methods.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, business analysts, and functional leads to prepare training resources and ensure content is accurate and relevant.
- Provide clear and concise information to internal and external contacts across all communication formats (Email, Teams, Jira, phone calls, etc.).
- Communicate training issues and needs to the Sr. Manager, Product Training.
- Learn new features about the VXretail product and develop training curriculum to train clients and peers.
- Assist with classroom observations on Training Specialist I’s and II’s and provide constructive feedback.
- Complete all reporting (individual tasks, project details, project training needs, etc.) accurately and on time.
- Treat all colleagues and trainees with dignity and respect.
- Always conduct themselves professionally.
- Work with clients and project teams to conduct Training Needs Analysis to determine a successful product training plan that meets business needs.
- Support and deliver training to core project teams and new-hire employees as needed.
- Occasionally travel to support clients onsite for training (10% or less).
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 6+ years of working experience in the Retail Utility market using a Customer Information System (CIS) is preferred.
- Should have 6+ years of working experience as a Training Specialist II or equivalent role.
- 4+ years of working experience with one or more VertexOne products is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of learning management software (BizLibrary, Kahoot!, Udemy, etc.) and editing programs (Camtasia, Snagit, OBS Studio, Vimeo, etc.).
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Forms, Visio).
- Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles.
- Excellent coaching skills and outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Creativity, good analytical and planning skills, and excellent presentation skills.
- Able to work independently on your own initiative and as part of a team.
- An ability to learn quickly and provide value when placed in unfamiliar settings.

Salary range
- $87,300 - $100,700
