Academic Advisor I/II-SPSUIW MissionPosition SummaryThe Academic Advisor I/II at the School of Professional Studies participates in the planning and delivery of academic advising and counseling services, as well as programs that promote comprehensive educational opportunities for all students. The Academic Advisor I/II reports to the Associate Director of Tutoring and Advising Services.Note that assigned level (I/II) will be based on qualifications of finalist.The School of Professional Studies (SPS) is an adult-learner centered program that offers certificates, associates, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees 100% online.Essential FunctionsJob DutiesKnowledge Skills and Abilities• Proficiency with various Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams or similar.• Ability to effectively learn internal CRM applications.• Must have strong communication, organization and verbal skills.• Excellent interpersonal skills.• Must be multi-tasked and detail oriented.• Good customer service and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.• Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.Required EducationBachelor's Degree.Required Work ExperienceAdvisor I: One (1) year of advising or counseling experience.
