Job Summary

The College of Pharmacy is seeking an Academic Coordinator SR for the Patient Care Laboratory.

The Coordinator will consult with and work with individual faculty in designing, developing and assessing innovative learning materials. They will work with Director of Assessment to develop and implement appropriate assessments for curricular innovations and with the Director of Educational Technology, Director of IT, and the Academic Technology Support Specialist to advance innovations in teaching technologies.



The Coordinator will develop and launch LMS units, quizzes, assignments and grading rubrics for Lab Activities in Canvas and coordinate utilization of PCL space by Patient Care Lab courses and programs external to PharmD Curriculum.

This position will develop and implement protocols related to the preparation and clean-up of activities occurring the Patient Care Lab and develop and implement process improvements for inventory management, equipment maintenance, and activity implementation.

Additionally, the Coordinator will develop and implement protocols and policies to guide scheduling, planning, and implementing of Simulated Patient Care Activities as well as coordinate schedule with IDD and PaCE course coordinators for each academic year.

We are seeking candidates with strong written and verbal communication skills, pedagogical knowledge and educational design skills. We are seeking someone with a Pharmacy technical license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.

Upon successful completion of orientation and new hire trainings, a hybrid schedule (remote/in-office) may be available in accordance with departmental needs.
