Job Summary
The College of Dentistry is seeking a Dentistry Student Affairs Director to oversee student affairs programs from the point of matriculation to graduation. This position will advise and implement Academic and Student Affairs polices/procedures, ensure ethical standards and compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation requirements, and utilize admissions data and student progression to develop success plans for students.
This position will also provide individual/group career coaching, academic advising, and student success initiatives for the College of Dentistry professional students and graduate students. They will engage students in career exploration resources and activities while processing their impressions and the implications for continued career planning and decision-making. They will also connect students with opportunities that support their academic and career goals while processing how their experiences impact future goals. This position will oversee student success and career development and assist with programs in the professional program. Including: Early Orientation, Orientation, White Coat Ceremony, Graduation Recognition Ceremony, and Interview Day program.
Other responsibilities include managing all daily operations, processes, and procedures related to Student Affairs, advising, and event management/programming; Develop budget by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating expenses and trends as requested by UKCD Chief Financial Officer. Additionally, this position is responsible for leading strategic career and advising initiatives in the College of Dentistry. They will design, develop, and implement career development forecast models for the College, based upon historical patterns and national and professional-wide trends, to shape a comprehensive Career Development program. Monitor and analyze state, national, and international trends in employment.

Preferred Education/Experience
A Master’s degree and educational background or work experience in counseling/psychology/advising, particularly with students at the graduate or professional level is preferred.
