In this job, you’ll represent SCE and provide account management support/consultative sales to our mid-size commercial and industrial customers through resolution of customer care concerns including billing and outages, promoting SCE’s Integrated Demand-Side Management (IDSM) programs, supporting Transportation Electrification (TE) and Distributed Energy Resources (DER) initiatives and driving customer satisfaction through telephone and virtual communication methods. Responsibilities

  • Negotiates and enforces customer contracts and contract revisions.
  • Collaborates with marketing, technical sales, product, and legal to ensure successful execution of new programs and services.
  • Promotes product development activities to prospective and existing customers and provides customer feedback to product development for continuous improvements.
  • Maintains up-to-date customer records including customer interactions, profiles, and account management activity.
  • Manages all day-to-day sales efforts including development, qualification, and execution of sales opportunities through cold-outreach (direct/indirect) and introductions.
  • Reviews and analyzes performance data as compared to peer set or competitors to gain insight into improvements required.
  • Maintains and retains existing customers by proactively reaching out to existing accounts on a regular basis. Maintains ongoing customer relationships using account management principles to ensure customer satisfaction and develop future opportunities.
  • Develops forecasts for accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets.
  • Oversees the mass analysis of customer bill impacts resulting from rate changes (i.e., NKAs).
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in account management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Experience working with agricultural customers (e.g., growers, processors, irrigation districts) with an understanding of ag operational and seasonal dynamics
  • Knowledge of the San Joaquin Valley, including regional water considerations, agricultural load profiles, and economic drivers
  • Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and enterprise systems such as C4C, SAP, and/or Salesforce
  • Strong relationship‑building, communication (verbal and written), and negotiation skills
  • Experience working with energy efficiency programs
  • Experience working in the utility industry
  • Experience developing and executing business plans, integrating work across functions, managing risk, and delivering high‑quality internal and external customer service
  • Project management experience

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
