Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and support the financial health of our organization. This role oversees key functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, capital assets, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong technical accounting expertise, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. This position works closely with the Director of Finance and plays a key role in audits, budgeting, and organizational support.
What You'll Do
Lead and support accounting staff across AP, AR, and payroll functions
Oversee daily accounting operations, including job costing, inventory, and capital assets
Manage month-end and year-end close processes
Review and approve account reconciliations and financial transactions
Coordinate and prepare for annual financial, workers' compensation, and state audits
Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements and annual budget
Maintain and update payroll processes, tax filings, and benefit changes
Provide leadership and support to the Finance team and organization as needed
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or 5+ years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of governmental accounting principles
Supervisory experience preferred
Experience with ERP systems is a plus
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
