Job Summary: The College of Health Sciences at Alvernia University is seeking an adjunct, gross anatomy instructor to contribute to the Master of Medical Science – Physician Associate program. The successful candidate will primarily facilitate large group lectures and small group lab sessions of gross anatomy in the first-year curriculum of the professional phase of the Physician Associate program.

Essential Functions:

· Teaching in the Physician Associate Program;

· Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of anatomy lecture and laboratory sessions within the Physician Associate Program, ensuring the curriculum aligns with the learning outcomes of the program;

· Promote adequate standards of linguistic expression in writing and speech;

· Carry out lectures, labs and responsibilities effectively;

· Prepare examination questions as well as grades for a course or portion of a course;

· Meet classes according to published schedule;

· Commit to working in a multicultural environment that fosters diversity;

Required Qualifications:

· Master's Degree or higher in related field

· Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the field of anatomy

· Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the college/university level

· Commitment to graduate and professional education and student success

· Excellent organizational and communication skills

· Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, and administration/staff

Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching gross anatomy /functional with Anatomage-based labs.

· Lifting up to 15 pounds at times
