Physical Requirements
The essential functions of this position include: occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to and over 50lbs; occasionally standing or walking with objects 10-25lbs; communicate and work cooperatively with staff, faculty and applicants from diverse backgrounds; abide by University guidelines; maintain confidentiality; prioritize and manage work effectively; provide exceptional customer service; complete work with interruptions; ensure work is detailed, accurate and completed in a timely manner; perform work in a sedentary position, utilizing computer, keyboard, mouse and telephone the majority of the day; and work successfully in a team as well as independently.
Shift
Monday-Friday; and 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
Job Summary
This position will assist Customer Service/Data Team Supervisor and Benefits Managers with communications; present benefits to new hires and employee groups; review COCs to ensure accurate information is reflected; follow COBRA, IRS Code 125, and HIPAA guidelines; coordinator resource fairs and annual retirement conference; maintain and coordinate retirement withdrawals and mandatory retirement compliance; be the liaison with retirement carriers in conjunction with enrollment and eligibility verification; and assist with retirement vesting compliance that is maintained by reporting.
This position will also provide excellent second line of customer service concerning benefit questions on the automatic call distribution system and offer guidance to front line staff and act as a problem solver for in-depth benefit issues. Follow COBRA, IRS Code Section 125 and HIPAA guidelines. Coordinate resource fairs and annual retirement conference. Reconciliation of exception reports from Benefits Financial Accounting. Audit of all benefit plans eligibility and enrollment in addition to IRS section 125 compliance. Process refunds required, for the Affiliate group.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
MS Windows/Office, Excel, Outlook, Kronos and SAP software experience.

Bachelor’s degree with 4 years experience, preferred.
