The Health Policy and Analytics division is recruiting for an Administrative Support Specialist (AS1). The main objective of this role is to offer administrative support to prominent committees and workgroups within the Health Policy and Analytics Division. This position involves assisting designated managers or program areas with various tasks to ensure efficient operations. Additionally, the role will be an active member of the administrative support team, providing backup to maintain smooth operations throughout the division.

This position falls under the AS1 classification. The AA Rate Pay Range for this position is $3,705.00 to $5,066.00 USD Monthly. The information in your application will be used to complete an Equal Pay Analysis to determine salary placement upon hire.

What We Are Looking For:


Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be visible in your application for consideration.

  • Two years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience that includes records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data.

OR

  • An associate degree in general office occupations and one year of experience with records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data.

OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Prepare materials and track committee member information for HPA committees.
  • Compile and maintain internal operational policies for distribution.
  • Schedule and calendar meetings using tools like MS Teams, Zoom, and Outlook.
  • Explain laws, rules, procedures, and processes clearly to partner.
  • Research and collect data, preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Develop and recommend policies and procedures, identifying and solving operational problems.
  • Write detailed public meeting minutes, requiring an understanding of health policy and medical terminology.
  • Interpret, explain, and apply laws, rules, policies, and procedures, acting as the key contact for the public and other state agencies.
  • Experience implementing accessibility best practices when supporting remote, hybrid and/or in person meetings

  • The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect the additional 6.95%. Review the Classification and Compensation page for more details on the classification.
