Job Description

Independently perform admissions activities including participating in the selection of candidates, planning recruitment and yield events, and analyzing data in accordance with university and departmental policies.

As an Admissions Officer you will:

  • Work directly with a high-energy team to recruit, select, and yield the most promising J.D. talent across the globe
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on the selection of candidates for admission, including extensive reading responsibilities at high-volume points in the cycle
  • Develop presentations and materials designed to promote the institution and attract potential students
  • Manage on-campus and virtual information sessions for prospective students
  • Significant planning responsibility for on-campus and virtual yield activities for admitted students
  • Prepare and analyze reports to improve outreach and recruitment efforts
  • Represent university as the spokesperson at admissions events and functions
  • Ensure compliance with university admissions policies and procedures and applicable legal rules and regulations with respect to students’ rights to privacy

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience

Additional Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for people who have:

  • Sound judgment, discretion with highly confidential data, and strong writing and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large programs/projects and comfort working across high-functioning teams
  • Prior experience with Slate Technolutions or similar relationship-management software preferred
  • Comfort with local, national, and occasional international travel.

Additional Information

Standard Hours/Schedule: Full-Time. Will be required to work nights and weekends at certain points in the admissions cycle.

Work Format Details

This is a position that is based at a Harvard campus location with some remote work options available. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. All remote work must be performed within one of the Harvard Registered Payroll States, which currently includes Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Washington, and California (CA for exempt positions only). Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.

Salary Grade and Ranges
