Job Summary
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Department of Forestry and Natural Resources, seeks an Agriculture Extension Specialist. This position will assist in Forestry and Natural Resources Extension activities including, but not limited to:
Conducting game processing and cooking while supporting additional programming relating to hunter or fishing recruitment, and shooting sports all of which are aimed at engaging and recruiting the public in these activities; collecting attendee information and interpreting the information to better align resources; preparation of education materials, aid in grant reporting requirements; oversight and coordination of activities with collaborators including Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources and associated non-government organizations; providing support to others working on aligned projects including Cook Wild KY; and performing related tasks as they arise.
The Extension Specialist will participate in extension and outreach activities and participate in professional development activities, as well as attend relevant and agreed-upon scientific and outreach conferences. This is a grant-funded, three-year position renewed annually.
