The Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) unit housed within the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, is seeking an innovative leader for the Extension Specialist in Agriculture Health and Safety role.
The Specialist helps support the FCS mission of improving the quality of individual and family life through education, research, and outreach.
About the Role
This position leads innovative Extension programming that translates cutting-edge research into practical solutions for communities across the state. The specialist empowers Extension agents through training, mentorship, and high-quality educational resources, ensuring research-based knowledge reaches those who need it most. Working collaboratively with state and national partners, the role advances strategic initiatives, strengthens external funding support, and measures and communicates meaningful program impact. The specialist contributes to University and College service while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. This position is contingent on continued funding.
