AI Automation Engineer

Position Summary:

The AI Automation Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing AI-driven automation solutions, leveraging large language models (LLMs), using platforms such as n8n, Databricks, Claude, CoPilot, and Microsoft Foundry to build agentic workflows that improve operational efficiency and decision-making.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to: VP of IT
Aligned to: Decision Intelligence / AI function

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and build AI-powered workflows using tools such as n8n, APIs, and LLM platforms

  • Develop and optimize prompts for reliable outputs and agent behavior

  • Orchestrate multi-step AI agents across systems (email, CRM, data platforms, etc.)

  • Integrate enterprise systems using APIs, webhooks, and automation frameworks

  • Implement human-in-the-loop controls and AI governance guardrails

  • Prototype high-impact use cases and scale into production solutions

  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver projects in line with specifications and deadlines.

  • Monitor performance, accuracy, and cost of AI workflows

Qualifications:

  • 25 years' experience in automation, software development, or AI tools

  • Experience with Python or JavaScript

  • Hands-on experience with automation / pipeline tools (Data Factory, n8n, Power Automate, Zapier, etc.)

  • Experience with AI/LLM tools / agents (Copilot, OpenAI, Fabric Studio, Claude Managed Agents / SDK, etc.)

  • Strong problem-solving and systems thinking skills.
