Job Description:

The Role

Join Fidelity’s Fintech team as a Business Analyst and help develop innovative financial planning software for digital platforms. As a core member of a global Agile squad, you’ll collaborate with developers, designers, and business partners to deliver client-centric solutions that support both experienced investors and those new to planning. You’ll drive strategy by defining problems, analyzing data, and shaping experiences that advance our mission to democratize financial planning—combining big-picture thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, innovative environment. This role can be hired at Analyst or Consultant level, depending on experience. Responsibilities include:

  • Work with product managers, designers, analysts, and engineers to define goals and requirements
  • Analyze business processes and user data to find areas for improvement
  • Help plan and deliver digital experiences with both local and global teams
  • Turn business needs into clear, actionable steps that align with product goals
  • Support Agile development by writing user stories, gathering requirements, and giving feedback
  • Use data to create reports and share insights that guide decisions
  • Focus on creating simple, helpful experiences for clients and advisors

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5-8+ years professional experience (role level commensurate with experience)
  • 3+ years in the financial services industry. Experience in product development or project management is a plus
  • Strong background in digital product development and Agile teamwork
  • Experience working directly with clients; CFP® certification is a bonus
  • Skilled in writing user stories, analyzing needs, and handling multiple projects
  • Clear communicator with strong presentation and writing skills
  • Comfortable working with tech teams and learning new tools
  • Forward thinking professional who focuses on the full client experience—from planning to delivery
  • Able to define goals, measure success, and work across teams to improve outcomes

The role is part of the Financial Planning & Advice Product area within the Wealth Solutions Domain. Our focus is to ensure premier financial planning experiences through our digital first approach. Our work will support a client who is looking to improve their financial lives across day to day and longer term planning, leading to better outcomes. Our teams plays a key role in crafting experiences to meet the needs of clients across various segments and net worth levels through innovative savings and budgeting software.
