Job Summary

The Plastic Surgery APP works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team. In conjunction with the attending, residents, and co-APPs, the APP will oversee care from consultation, inpatient management, assisting in the operating room, discharge and outpatient setting. The focus of this APP position will be within our hand surgery team, though a vital member of the entire plastic surgery group.

The APP has a strong foundation in evidenced based practice and education and ensuring an environment of safe, quality care. This position requires hands-on skills, as well as a high level of clinical skills.

The APP demonstrates an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and takes responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation.

Acute care certification or willing to enroll in acute care within 1 year of practice if a nurse practitioner. RNFA preferred.
