POSITION SUMMARY

The Application Administrator ensures the reliability, security, and performance of Envision’s critical business applications while also supporting the physical deployment and maintenance of technology assets. This role manages the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of software systems, while providing expert support to both internal and external stakeholders.

In addition to application responsibilities, the Application Administrator assists with end-user technology needs, such as hardware deployment or triaging AV equipment issues. By combining strong technical expertise with a customer-first mindset, this role plays an essential part in advancing Envision’s mission and sustaining organizational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE

  • Application Management: Install, configure, update, and maintain core business applications to ensure performance, reliability, and security.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 2/3 support for application and technology issues. Diagnose root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Enhancements & Upgrades: Plan, test, and deploy application upgrades, patches, and enhancements with minimal business disruption.
  • Hardware & Asset Management: Physically deploy or collect monitors, laptops, desktops, docking stations, and peripherals as part of IT support duties.
  • Collaboration & Customer Support: Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and end users to resolve issues and meet business needs.
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Leverage tools and emerging technologies to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and updates; ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.
  • Research & Innovation: Stay current on application and IT trends to recommend and implement improvements.


JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

  • Education: Abachelor’s degree related to the IT field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in application administration is preferred.
  • Schedule: Primarily daytime hours, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed for maintenance, upgrades, or urgent support.
  • On-site Requirement: This is an in-person position based at Envision Dallas.
  • Physical Work: Ability to lift and move technology assets such as monitors, laptops, desktops, and peripherals as part of regular duties.


Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Server Administration and Windows workstation troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts as they relate to applications.
  • Knowledge of application/system security best practices.
  • Experience with Office 365 Suite, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • SQL Server, T-SQL scripting, and database administration (preferred).
  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) experience (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of common coding languages.
  • Comfort with troubleshooting AV equipment and other non-application IT issues.

  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization and documentation skills
