Job Summary

The University of Kentucky is currently seeking faculty candidates for a full-time transplant ID physician to join our growing group in Lexington, KY. This will be an academic appointment with the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Internal Medicine at University of Kentucky.

The practice location will be at the flagship academic health center at Chandler Hospital, the Good Samaritan Hospital and our outpatient clinic at the nearby Bluegrass Care Clinic. Our service sees inpatient consults and outpatient referrals across the continuum of immunocompromised hosts, including thoracic and abdominal SOT, BMT/SCT, CAR-T, and LVADs. Service volumes are quite manageable, and we have APP support. The medical center serves a wide geographic area, treating patients throughout Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, and beyond. The Markey Cancer Center at UK is also the only NCI-designated Cancer Center in Kentucky.

Lexington offers excellent schools, great neighborhoods within walking distance to the University, low cost of living, and is a great place to raise a family, with lots of outdoor activities and a few national parks within driving distance.

Qualified candidates must be MD or DO, and board certified/board eligible in Infectious Diseases and have strong teaching and clinical skills. Salary and academic rank are competitive and commensurate with experience.
