Required Related Experience

Evidence of appropriate research training and/or equivalent experience in Neurology or related disciplines. This training/experience should be of an adequate type and duration to prepare the individual for development of an independent research program.



Required License/Registration/Certification

Must obtain Kentucky medical licensure.



Job Summary

The Department of Neurology is recruiting for a Neurologist to support the Department. This position will allow for the provision of outpatient therapeutic services and increased inpatient coverage. The faculty member in this position will report to the Chairman of the Department of Neurology.

The primary responsibilities for this position will be: participate in clinical teaching activities and provide direct or consultative neurological care for patients (adults and/or children) with neurological illness in outpatient and/or outreach clinics as negotiated with the Department Chair. In addition, this position will attend on the Neurology (adult and/or pediatric) inpatient ward and/or consultative services and/or provide coverage for other faculty, and acquire and improve skills in research and teaching pertinent to future leadership roles in Academic Medicine.
