Assistant Athletic Director Business OperationsUIW MissionPosition SummaryThe Assistant Athletic Director Business Operations is responsible for long-range financial planning, and oversight of the day-to-day business operations of UIW Athletics. This role serves as the department leader on fiscal policies and processes, in adherence to the University's standards and practices. In addition to financial management, the Assistant Athletic Director/Business & Finance will have oversight responsibility for all Athletics' Human Resources and Information Technology matters. The Assistant Athletic Director Business Operations reports to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Administration.Essential FunctionsJob DutiesKnowledge Skills and Abilities• Well-developed finance skills to perform complex accounting and statistical computations.• Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook and Word; highly proficient in Microsoft Excel to include pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulating spreadsheets, charts and graphs.• Experience with analytical tools; excellent critical thinking skills.• Strong proficiency or ability to quickly learn and effectively use Banner, SQL, and Power BI.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize assignments with attention to detail.• Excellent customer service skills.• Ability to effectively troubleshoot errors or exceptions.• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.• Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.Required EducationBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field.Required Work Experience• Five (5) years of professional financial and/or budgetary experience working with complex systems.
