Assistant Football Coach-Special Teams CoordinatorUIW MissionPosition SummaryThe Assistant Football Coach-Coach-Special Teams Coordinator serves in all phases of a competitive football program in accordance with University of the Incarnate Word, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. The Assistant Football Coach-Coach-Special Teams Coordinator reports to Head Football Coach.Essential FunctionsJob DutiesKnowledge Skills and Abilities• Must exhibit good judgement in advising and counseling student-athletes, adjusting to the ever-changing culture.• Ability to identify and participate in resolution of departmental/ institutional problems with continuous quality improvement as a goal.• Ability to enhance team effectiveness through dependability and positive influences.• Ability to consistently follow the mission of the university.• Ability to effectively build and sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, former players, faculty alumni and staff.• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.• Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.Required EducationBachelor's Degree.Required Work ExperienceThree (3) years of coaching experience at college or professional level.
