The Assistant Human Resources Director performs difficult professional, managerial, and administrative work coordinating HR policies and programs with emphasis on the benefits, wellness, compensation, recruitment, employee relations, risk management, and safety/worker’s compensation areas, while ensuring that the organization is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position works closely with the human resources director in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions, activities, systems, and service delivery. Manages day-to-day operations of the Human Resources and risk management staff. Work is performed under limited direction.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business management, psychology, public administration, or closely related field or four years of related work experience
- Seven years of considerable progressively responsible experience in human resources management/administration, benefits/wellness administration, recruitment, compensation and classification administration, and/or employee relations administration
- Three years of supervisory experience
- Valid NC driver’s license and good driving record
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Work requires flexible schedule and travel to various departments.
May be required to work long hours to complete projects/assignments, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends. Paid bi-weekly.
