- Operating various equipment including safety cutters, balers, electric and manual hand jacks with proficiency and safety in mind.
- Verifying receipt of incoming products by accurately counting and sorting items against requisitions or invoices.
- Inspecting merchandise for any damage and appropriately placing damaged items in designated areas.
- Managing product inventory by utilizing order guns to place orders and maintain adequate stock levels.
- Unloading and organizing product loads, transporting cases to designated aisles using two or six wheelers.
- Verifying order codes, UPC codes, or product descriptions to match shelf tags before stocking shelves.
- Efficiently stock shelves, rotate product, and maintain aisle conditions according to company policies.
- Assisting in the set-up and breakdown of displays and shelves as directed by management.
- Ordering signage and creating signs using approved templates.
- Ensuring aisle cleanliness and safety by promptly clearing debris and obstructions.
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the work area using company-approved cleaners and equipment.
- May receive cross-training in other departments to support operational needs.
Qualifications for Success:
- Previous experience in retail or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a dedication to going the extra mile for every customer.
- Ability to operate equipment safely and effectively.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Physical stamina to perform various tasks including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to push and pull up to 90 lbs. of force occasionally
- Occasional: Sitting and climbing; frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, and handling
- Frequent: Head turn, trunk bend, side reach, grasp, power grip, pinch, finger manipulation, & feel
