Job Summary
The Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY seeks to fill a tenure-eligible faculty position at the Assistant Professor level or a tenured position at the Associate Professor level in Mathematics.
This is a 9-month position in the regular title series with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2027. The anticipated Distribution of Effort will be 25% teaching, 70% research, and 5% departmental service.
The successful candidate is expected to pursue a vigorous research program in the theory of Partial Differential Equations (PDE) and to deliver high-quality teaching to both graduate and undergraduate students. Candidates with research interests in new interdisciplinary developments and applications related to PDE and strong funding potential are especially encouraged to apply.
Ph.D. in Mathematics or related field is required at time of appointment.
