Job Summary

The Department of Teaching and Learning invites applications for a clinical title series, assistant professor position in Global Education. The position is tenure ineligible. This is a 9-month appointment, effective August 16, 2026.

Responsibilities will be divided between teaching, service, and administration with faculty in this position typically expected to teach a 3-2 course load (reduced to 2-2 while serving as Director of the Consortium for Overseas Student Teaching (COST)).

Responsibilities include the following:
  • Teach at least 2 courses each semester (fall and spring), such as EDC 315 and EDC/EPE 454G (3 courses in fall after concluding position as COST Director).
  • Serve as Director of Undergraduate Global Learning Initiatives, including overseeing the catalog of overseas student teaching programs, for the College of Education.
  • Serve as Director of the Undergraduate Certificate in Globally Competent Teaching for the Department of Teaching and Learning.
  • Serve as Director of COST for a minimum of 4 years, with possibility of extension.
  • Provide service to the department, college, university, and/or profession.
