Job Summary
The Department of Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology in the College of Education at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a full-time Special Title assistant professor position in School Psychology. The appointment is a nine-month appointment, effective August 16, 2025. The position is in a tenure-eligible Special Title Series which provides eligibility for promotion and tenure. Salary, fringe benefits, and initial operating support are competitive with other leading land-grant universities.
Qualifications include an earned Ph.D. degree in counseling or clinical psychology or a related field. Responsibilities will be divided between teaching and service, with faculty in this position typically expected to teach a 3/3 course load.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Teach 3/3 course load for the following courses:
EDP 305 Introduction to Counseling Skills (undergraduate);
EDP 533 History and Systems of Psychology;
EDP 622 Supervision of School Psychology;
EDP 675 Practicum in School Psychology;
EDP 658: Problems in Educational Psychology
(Advanced Theories for children, youth and/or families);
EDP 683 Special Topics: Supervision of Assessment
- Provide assessment supervision, training, and services related to the Community Mental Health Clinic within the Department of Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology;
- Seek extramural funding;
- Serve on student advising committees; and
- Provide service to the department, college, university, and profession.
